    1.    What’s your favourite ‘quest’ movie? Totally not a question inspired by the releases of Warhammer Quest Blackstone Fortress.

Quest movies eh? I love me a quest and I love me a movie. Has honestly nobody said A New Hope yet!? Other than that Legend, The Dark Crystal, Willow, Krull, Hawk the Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Battle beyond the stars, the last star fighter, back to the future, The Winter soldier, list goes on and on ?. Always wished they made Talisman.

    2.   Pick a race and character for said adventure!

For Talisman, I am the Goblin Swashbuckler. Swirling moustache, bewitching sword play and irresistible to the ladies. In his own mind. Really, well, he’s a goblin.

    3. I was in a rush doing this. Tell me something cool you did or discovered this week

I discovered a brilliant player character for any roleplay I play. See above. Other than that the great little show that is Stan Vs Evil. You are in for a treat. Oh and the Supernatural/Scooby Doo crossover was possibly the best thing ever.

And we shouldn’t forget Red Sonja either …

If Overlord is a Hollywood-ized version of Wolfenstein then I must see it.

grmbl … support for looted vehicles is in the next Chapter Approved 2018, which is kind of weird as kitbashing vehicles is sooo Orky.

    @sundancer : A shrubbery you say ?  ‘Nieh!’ I say 😉

btw: this thread got mentioned on the front page. So be extra nice to the new guests. 🙂

To anyone else : don’t be shy, we don’t byte. Some of us might nibble a bit.

Jeezy kreezy! @evilstu Your friggin dropbears are some sneaky bastiches. I was minding my own business doing a search for “Its so shiny” and out of the Internet tree falls one of your ilk. Is there some sort of infestation going on?

On a different note, yes the Mircosol/set probably helped out. I’ve yet to start playing with decals but I did pick up some of that a while ago thinking that I’d be getting custom decals made. Let’s just say the bottles aren’t losing anything in their wait to be opened. Bad luck with the shoulder? Hope you get better soon and can enjoy more hobby soon.

@newbolter Bravo **impressed nodding and golf clap** That’s damn fine work for terrain. Definitely show off what comes of that when you slap it with paint. I’m sure that it’d probably get picked up on the weekly highlights from the love shown to Burrows and Badgers.

@sundancer Tsk tsk… if we have one shrubbery then we need another one, slightly higher as to get a two level effect, and have a path running down the middle. He-Man? Augh… I’d swear that should’ve been an Uwe Boll production.

@limburger I just got back from watching Overlord and it is a fun ride. I’d say that the movie isn’t as hard hitting as the latest Wolfenstein and that the first analogy of the original is good. A mission film that goes sideways into Weird War II.

@mage I must say that the Custom Achievement page is very very shiny. As I’ve been described by one of my brothers as a cat person I must put this down as I agree.

    Shiny Murder

On a serious note I took a few WIP pics of the skeletal knight and a couple other completed figures in the commission.

The knight needs some areas basecoated, a quick wash and then hit it with highlights and more weathering

Ok, I do dig what GW are going for in the Tempestus Scions kits, but man do I wish they’d done plastic Kasrkin….

Been like a zombie all day after work and then had friends over. Bilbo is almost finished and I am batch painting my Goblin Town Goblins again. More to follow later, I promise 😉

I did some “hobby” of different sorts…. I “taught” someone of my local gaming club on how to use facebook to help me get the word out more easily… let’s see if that helps anything… it’s still Facebook :S

Sorry for derailing the topic a bit but I love movie scenes that aren’t what you usually expect. For example the scene in Braveheart were Murron (Catherine McCormack) just gets her throat slit. No hero comes to the rescue… but my favorite of all those scenes is the classic “secret agent gets evil villain to talk about his plans”. Most James Bond movies use this road… but not Goldfinger. “Do you expect me to talk?” “No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die” *walks off* 😉

    Ack… can’t help it… one of my favourite Simpsons scenes… if I don’t do it… someone else… will!

    Gah!!

    sorry @sundancer I couldn’t hold that back.

And I agree with you, when the expected is subverted it is usually much more interesting and entertaining.

    Hobby hobby hobby!

working on the skin some more. I feel that I’m happier with “Palid” (on the right). Not totally happy with “Grey”. But they may both look better with some other colours on.
