@avernos cheers for that! I only vaguely know of Thule but I’m sure they were ‘disbanded’ before sent on secret occult missions. I’m reading Seeds of Destruction for critical historical research. I’m all about the story me.

yeah there’s some of that conspiracy stuff tied to them, but they were gone as soon as Hitler took over the DAP, and the creator was disposed from the party, they often get paired with Ahnenerbe.

I suppose it’s easier for pop culture to use them instead of the Ahnenerbe which actually was connected to the Nazi Party.

was able to nip in to give things a good primer coat of skeleton bone.

Will leave these to cure now for a while and see if I can get in later to add the washes 🙂

Picked up a lot of Primaris Reiver parts for cheap off Ebay, gave me enough bits for one full trooper and spares to make the ETB kits look a bit more interesting. Got my eye on some other bitz listings that should let me have 2 5-man Reiver squads for my Raptors, 1 with Bolt Carbines, the other with pistols & knives 🙂

Well the sun came out this morning so I made the most of it.

Not used wool for vines, but have used garden string and dried herbs years and years ago.  I do have supplies in the shed for making some though.

Depending on what you want to achieve, how realistic and scale, florist wire or thread could also be used.

and applied that liberally to the bases (just the stone bits)

I’m pretty pleased so far 🙂

@warzan that’s pretty effective. Are you going to do highlights or drylights?

looks like you’ve got a fairly quick & effective method down pat there @warzan . Nice one 🙂

@woldenspoons oddly enough no, the parts are the standard grey plastic as opposed to the powder blue that got used for the Reivers Kill Team box.

Now to take a moment to work out the next step.

I think I may actually stick the minis on before adding all the rest of the detail and foliage mmmmmmm

Oh very nice @warzan (also, who let him think he’s still got his sanity – I thought 3 kids plus the BoW crew would have broken any man by now 😛 )

And a little levity to round off the weekend:

It can be incredibly smutty at times, but Oglaf is always on point with it’s jabs at the tropes of Fantasy,  and this one just tickled me   😀

@warzan great work on those bases.

@horati0nosebl0wer Micro sol is awesome! however watch out not to smear it too much on unvarnished paint as it can affect it, anyway I tend to also gloss varnish apply the decal and then use micro sol

    also… Hurray for Energia 😉

@evilstu I guess about 2 hours or so, as 6 aircraft a side takes around an hour or so.
Also love the work on that Warhammer army

so here is the picture of the finished buggers. there is between 13 and 16 decals per aircraft multiply by 12… so about 168 decals applied in a day.

    And because it’s 303 squadron….

@wolfch Good to see 303 Squadron getting some love. They look great! I have a Cromwell painted up as Recce for the Polish Armoured somewhere around for Bolt Action and I’m probably going to build my British Paras as Poles. I like doing that with, particularly, WW2 forces. I was thinking of doing a Sihk unit when I get around to the Western Desert and I want to do West Africans for the Jungle.
