Three more models to go to hit my target
November 3, 2019 at 6:58 am #1453621@lawnor Mate your work as always is lovely. I want to thank you for all the effort you go to every year to set this up year in year out. I have survived the RL (curse you real life) situation which had me not hobbying for so long and hopefully will soon be back to full production. I may not be around here so much anymore as a couple of odd things happened but when I am I will definately look in on your work , as I do find it inspirational. All the best mate and I seriously appreciate all you have done to help me unwind and focus on hobby . cheers B.
November 3, 2019 at 8:46 am #1453643Life would definitely be better if it wasn’t for all this “Real Life” nonsence getting in the way. I hopeyou’re still enjoying life, despite its realness. Come back when you’re ready. We’ll still be here waiting.
November 4, 2019 at 11:10 am #1453990That’s one more done. Only 2 more to go. I’ll be posting the 2020 pledge thread and sheet soon, so we can all think it through before the new year.
November 4, 2019 at 5:47 pm #1454058I have been hammering away at my Wolsung gangs and terrain. I have so far painted and assembled a set of Market Place stalls, a set of 19th Century Walkways, and a Tratoria (run by my Scylla). I am now in the process of assembling the Warehouse I pre-painted.
December 29, 2019 at 5:08 pm #1467424With 48 hours to spare I have finished the final model for my 2019 pledge:
2020 pledges can be found here. Please join in.

Also lost track of what I had painted, and now it’s all packed up as I’ll be moving soon… X-D
Still, it was good to have this as a reminder and motivator! Thanks @lawnor for setting this up!
December 30, 2019 at 4:07 pm #1467540Its that time of the year again when it’s time to take stock of what has been done pledge-wise. 🙂
Failed on all points this year…again. What i set out to do was not at all what I did in the end but I still like the tradition of trying to anticipate the hobby for the coming year. I’m super impressed with you all and your discipline.
December 30, 2019 at 4:56 pm #1467542This is why I suggest to always allow room to do the stuff that comes up that you weren’t planning on buying or painting. Don’t overcommit, as there’s always more shinies to buy. It’s tricky. The important part remains to enjoy your hobby, and just use this as a motivational tool. I’m glad people are finding it helpful and at least trying.
December 30, 2019 at 4:59 pm #1467543In all honesty, I failed miserably to paint any minis from either my Burrows and Badgers pledge or Hasslefree girls. I did get some primered and did some color work in my sketchbook but I don’t count previz. With Terrain Crate2 rewards on the way in the next few months I wanted to get the first set done. I was able to paint roughly 75%, reducing four crates full of unpainted toys to one. The Alvin Yard are being filed and glued to their bases for priming so I am calling them In Process. I am very pleased to say I accomplished all my other Wolsung goals for 2019; two complete factions (Ash&Oak plus Scylla) are painted and have seen a few games as well. In addition, all of the Un-Affiliated miniatures are ready for hire but the biggest (in size and feat) accomplishment is all the finished terrain I added to my collection this year. Not only did I complete every MicroArts kit I had but added a corner cafe as well as street furniture AND we have used most of it in games already. Bonus was learning how to play the Wolsung RPG but then Necron099 and I turn everything into a minis game. Most of the Wolsung minis, terrain, games are shown in detail in my Project Blog; https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1223909/#snav
Looks like my 2020 goals are already setting themselves.
December 31, 2019 at 2:15 pm #1467633I managed to complete my pledge a couple of months early. My only problem was that I never talked about it here – I kept everything in the project blog (https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1318411/) and WAYPN thread.
My task for this afternoon is to pick next year’s goal.
