Thanks for doing this again! This actually really motivated me last year even if I was bad at updating it. My goals changed throughout the year because I changed Warmachine factions so I did more assembling than painting and this year I aim to correct that. I have an assembly goal, but it is mostly just adding sand to bases since I’ve spent most of my hobby time the past few months cleaning and assembling models. I think I am going to set some more structured goals this year to try and achieve what I am ultimately looking for.
Two general goals are: 1.) Continue selling miniatures I don’t use (sell more than I buy this year), and 2.) Be better at posting my painting activity online.
Here goes!
Tier 1
-Get remaining Crucible Guard models ready for priming (totally assembled, based, sand added to bases) (65)
-Paint 1 Crucible Guard Solo
-Paint 1 Crucible Guard Unit
-Paint 1 Crucible Guard Light WarjackTier 2
-Paint 1 Crucible Guard Heavy Warjack
-Paint 1 Crucible Guard Warcaster
-Paint 1 Crucible Guard weapon crew
-Pant a second Crucible Guard SoloTier 3
-Paint a second Crucible Guard Unit
-Paint a second Crucible Guard Heavy Warjack
-Paint a second Crucible Guard Light WarjackTier 4
-Paint Crucible Guard Vulcan
-Paint 1 Godtear champion and followersTier 5
-Finish painting all unpainted Crucible Guard miniatures (85)
-Paint at least 3 sets of Godtear champions and their followersJanuary 16, 2019 at 10:41 pm #1332293First of my pledges done for the year, the Malifaux Rail Golem.

- Paint my whole A Song of Ice and Fire kickstarter pledge
- Paint up the 11th Prussian Brigade
I reckon that’s going to keep me busy for the rest of 2019…!

February 26, 2019 at 6:36 pm #1354393@lawnor that is some impressive stuff. They look fantastic.
Your mystery miniature is a Space Marine Scout with Missile Launcher.
February 26, 2019 at 9:58 pm #1354458@zoidpinhead Thanks. He appears to be from the Sniper pack.
March 8, 2019 at 2:32 am #1358346I’ve been working a lot towards my assembly goal so I will have to update the numbers. In terms of my painting progress I knocked off a pretty big project in this Vulcan for my Crucible Guard army.
March 8, 2019 at 4:12 am #1358358I’m in again!
Last two years I have failed miserably but third time is a charm right? 🙂
It’s all 40K for me this time around.
- Paint 1200p of Death guard. I have begun this rather cumbersome task with a few Plague marines but I hope to be able to paint up a small force before the year is over, or before Sisters are released 🙂
- I have a renegade knight in pieces that I have tried to finished for a few years. And when I say tried I mean looked at the box where it sleeps. But could this year be the year?
- I want to make my own board to have friends over for games and with this I have started on a setting. A very grimdark medieval setting. I have decided to make board pieces the size of Killteam boards so before the year is at an end I think I will have created a board and the killteamesque inq28 campaign for the setting as well.
- I also want to create a daemon engine from scratch or at least covert one. I did one 10 years ago and I want to try it again and hopefully make it nicer than the old one.
I wish you all good luck with your endeavours and we meet here in a years time and see how well we fared.
March 8, 2019 at 9:16 am #1358402Don’t worry, @kevlin. It’s not all bout hitting your goals, its about motivating yourself and making what progress you can, and enjoying yourself. If you’ve not hit your goals in the past perhaps you can now work out what is realistic for you and understand your pace better? Knowing what you can and can’t get built and painted in a year is a good thing when you’re staring at, say, the Reichbusters late pledge option after gaining the Wrath and Rapture box and have the all in Godtear kickstarter turning up soon like I am. It helps make sensible, if boring, decisions. Good luck with this year.
@gumbafish I’m loving the transitions on that yellow. Awesome work. I know how big a PITA yellow can be!
March 12, 2019 at 3:52 am #1360209Woohoo! First unit started and finished this year!
Updated the spreadsheet ?
March 12, 2019 at 9:25 am #1360288The Dreadnoughts (project link) are finished now. That’s 2 more from my pledge finished and work started on the next few minis.
