I finished Kingdom Death: Monster not long ago, and I’ve been making strong progress on the Dreadball part of my pledge.
March 28, 2022 at 12:13 pm #1725569@lawnor congratulations! That looks amazing!
April 21, 2022 at 5:50 pm #1731595Well done to everyone who has posted so far this year. You have all done really well and your updates and progress shots have kept me motivated, thank you.
I’ve been working away quietly in the background and have made some steady progress. Currently on 186 completed miniatures in 2022, details on the spreadsheet. You’ll see I’ve not done anything that was in my initial thinking but progress is okay none the less. Here are some photos:
Zanzibari with Baluchi mercenaries.Saga Roman Deserters
10mm Early German cavalry. Three of 35 bases that I used to test the AP Speedpaints which I absolutely love and am using almost exclusively in my Slaine project
Speaking on Slaine here are some Formorians with some of the scatter terrain I’ve done. Please check out the project for pictures of the rest and full instructions on painting and basing. I’ll have the Skull Swords done in the next couple of days.
Well done everyone again. Keep picking up those brushes 🙂
April 28, 2022 at 6:16 pm #1733232Progress continues on the Slaine project. Balor (with my first proper NMM) and all of the Skull Swords are all done now.
This week the project got a Golden Button 🙂 and I celebrated with the Lord Weird himself, Slough Feg
He is the 200th mini finished this year.
May 12, 2022 at 1:19 pm #1737980I finished off all my Dreadball for this. That’s 70 models done in under 8 weeks. I’ll not spam this thread with all those pics. They can be found here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1381664/
June 4, 2022 at 8:46 pm #1744694The Dweghom are finally finished and the show game at Broadside 2022 is over. Write up of the show game and picture is in my project log (https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1532335/?order=desc)
June 5, 2022 at 7:05 pm #1745179It’s only a little progress, but I have made some! And that’s what this is all about, after all…
We finished playing through Pandemic Legacy Season II (actually a good few months ago now). Great fun. Can’t wait to give Season Zero a go!
Also cleared my table last weekend and assembled 5 Putrid Blightkings. Almost. I need to find some bases for them and a couple will require some sort of conversions as I’m trying to do all five with sword and shield rather than a complete mix of weapons. It was fun to be doing some modelling again!
I made it to UKGE on Friday and have been busy the rest of the weekend with Jubilee parties but hope to make some more progress this week. Including hopefully starting on the minis from the GF9 game, ‘Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps’.
June 6, 2022 at 11:51 am #1745309I finished two more of my goals this weekend:
- Finish painting 3D printed small based models (6/6)
- Try Kingdom Death: Monster
I played 9 solo games of KD:M over the 4 day weekend and loved it. I can’t wait to get stuck back in.
And here’s a very unexciting pic of the setup for my second game of KDM
I’m getting very close to clearing off all my available goals before the KS related goal arrives in a few months. I’m on target for the year, although KDM might start eating up all my hobby time for a long while!
June 14, 2022 at 12:07 pm #174744310x Plague troops and dogs for Warpath / Deadzone all done, and progress has been made on the 22 KoW skeletons
June 16, 2022 at 8:01 pm #1748218I’ve managed to finish off more of my Ottoman Turks so Deli light cavalry, command figures, Balkan Sharpshooters, artillery and even some baggage camels (for use as field defences) have been finished the selection can be seen here: (https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1675810/)
June 20, 2022 at 10:10 am #1748949I finished off a unit of 22 skeletons this week. This leaves me 6 Aeon Trespass: Odyssey models (Shipping early July???) and a bust of choice to paint this year, along with trying AT:O if it arrives early enough in the year.
My project can be found here.
The pledge tracker can be found here. I’m seeing more and more colour/progress all the time. It’s never too late for new people to join in.June 20, 2022 at 12:14 pm #1749024Actually finished a pledge the last 3 vehicles for my DAK platoon have been finished ?
June 26, 2022 at 9:32 pm #1750627Well done to everyone who is making progress this year and thanks for posting your projects here. I’ve seen some great stuff that I would likely have missed otherwise.
I’m up to 275 minis and have completed the first wave of Slaine along with some terrain, all done in time for the end of the Spring Clean Challenge. I’ve been doing a bit more Saga this week, some units for the Welsh and am moving on to a new project, Strength & Honour in 2mm! More on that here too probably.
My Slaine posts on Instagram even got a like from Pat Mills!
Keep picking up those brushes everyone 🙂
June 30, 2022 at 6:56 am #1751632Finally got some solo miniature skirmish gaming done, and found out, at least for myself, you do *not* need to paint to advanced tabletop, as prepainted quality does indeed look the same as anything fancier from table distance. Got the Lasting Tales PDF, and am coming up with some Song of Blade and Heroes scenarios with the Juegorama KS miniatures. Miniatures for both are not yet released, so I’m scrounging through my Reaper Bones and other games, and painting, but only when necessary. Anyway, I’m now painting with the notion that I can always improve the paint job later (uh huh) if I use the mini again in another scenario, so I can get some actual gaming done. (I’m also wasting time making reference cards from printing out tables and mini-character sheets for Lasting Tales!)
July 1, 2022 at 7:42 am #1751850Some amazing paint jobs in the last couple of months. You’ve all done very well (channeling my young Mr Grace voice)
Keep it up it is inspiring
