More progress on my pledges.  First up, Oathsworn’s Sensible Shoes Human Barbarian SS24.  Originally the model was uninspiring, but once I started thinking about painting her she got interesting.  She told me what colours to paint her, although I did resist going with full Brave ginger hair.

The Chillcon Derby 2018 show mini, Thorhild.  A nice sculpt with a great base, even if the face doesn’t quote have enough detail.  I coated that base in brown pigment and it mostly vanished during varnishing.  It looked a lot dirtier before.  I need to look into pigment fixers.

This is Studio Miniatures Medieval Mayhem MM09 “The Sorcerer”, although I hear that some call him… Tim?

Prep work has begun on the remaining Cryx and Infinity models along with a Monster Box.  Reichbusters has yet to be delivered.

Wow. Some of you guys are just painting machines! At the start of this year, I promised I’d spend some hobby time every week (if not every day) and make progress on my pile of shame. To date, I’ve painted two minis in 2020 and printed over a hundred. I’m constantly amazed at how much progress you lot can make in such a relatively short space of time (in my head, we’re still only  a fortnight after New Year).

There is some lovely stuff already from everone.  @lawnor I love Joan and Tim the Sorcerer is very lovely as well.  Finally had time to post an update here.  Firstly some MB:P from the 1.5 Upgrade pack.  Dionysus, and the Corinthia expansion with Winged Ape and Villagers:

Stay safe and keep painting everyone.

    Q1 report.

After first 3 months of the year I’m behind my schedule. To put it more precisely the numbers are as follows:

Pledged to: paint 7 minis per month – I’m at 12 of 21…

Pledged to: push myself on 5 minis this year, – 1 out of 5 is done, so quite on schedule,

Pledged to: Finish terrain for my gaming tables started in 2019 – not finished, but pushed forward, on schedule,

Pledged to: Not to buy a single miniature… – that didn’t quite work…

Pledged to: Not to take part in any Kickstarter – success.

Pledged to: Take part in at least 2 hobby contests or challenges, – I subscribed to Spring cleaning challenge, so this is on schedule, my project blog in case anyone is interested: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1504153/

Pledged to: Learn new 3d design tool – nothing done here.

I have also set up a project blog for all my hobby of 2020, you may find it here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1498559/ , bellow just couple of teaser photos:

Welcome @nighthaunter666 you have got off to a great start.  @shingen that is some beautiful painting and basing, fantastic.

From me, Cu Chulainn the Irish mythological hero today.  As he is not only in the middle of his warp spasm but also unclothed, you’ll need to go to my project to see the front view.  project:https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1488386/Cu Chulainn faceCu Chulainn rear

Great stuff @ lawnor – love that giant.

I’ve got some Celts done.  Vercingetorix who is a spare for me to put on eBay at some point, and two units of skirmishers (one who rather coyly will only be shown from the Lloyd  perspective).  Full views available on my project:

Here’s one for the teenagers, Cutter’s Goose.  Tales of the Gold Monkey was a pulp serial on TV in the early 1980’s, following in the wake of the first Indiana Jones film. The lead character was a pilot who flew a Grumman Goose and I was always very drawn to the series and the plane.  The fact that it had a cool dog with an eye patch also helped.  As always more on my project here:
