    Remember……..

    3. No matter how much it begs, no matter how much it cries, NEVER feed it after midnight.

On another note I heard you talk about a 6mm ancients game during the day 1 wrap up, any chance you got any photos? I’m really interested to see anything 15mm and below gaming.

I DO remember from my time living in the US someone had some boxed army sets for little known battles/eras (like US troops in the Philippines pre ww2 and the Roughriders in Cuba complete with custom made 15mm figures. Been trying to track them down again to see if they are still available (it was back in the 90s), I remember them being in sleeved cardboard boxes with full colour covers and rules included. Also anything black powder era in Latin and South America (as there’s some fantastic units formed during this period).

Actually yes we did, they didn’t make it into today’s Live Blog.  They should go up tomorrow.  We wanted to interview with the gentleman running it but he was very busy running a game with eight people.

@oriskany I wish I could join you for a beer and catch up old chap unfortunately the delights of across the pond travel are gone due to a failing body and health restrictions I do wish you fun times and a minor hangover though I’ve been loving the historicon coverage so far.

No worries at all @wolf320f .  Very glad you like the coverage.  Very encouraging to hear (actually needed it at the moment …).  Thanks very much, and hope you continue to enjoy the coverage!  😀

Oh I think people are watching the videos, but they are posting as much as they are not entering to get a prize. The comments per video seem to be about the same as other shows covered when there’s no freebies involved.

I don’t think the gamers are used to being put in front of cameras like the UK traders, so it’s probably both novel and terrifying for them at the same time (I know I’d be in the latter camp).

It’s a pity you don’t have the time to play a game system you’ve never played before and then give a review of how things played. But that’s the nature of the beast…of war (see what I did there :P)
