    Hi all.

I need some suggestions please. Later this year I’m going travelling for 6 months, while there will be lots to see and do, but I also want a gaming fix for those quiet evenings in the jungle, the beach, wherever.

It’s just me and my wife and am looking for a travel sized game that we can replay without having the bulk in our bags. Any thoughts or ideas?

Any theme or era is fine it’s just got to be interesting and able to be packed small with 6 months of playability. Thanks in advance!

Monopoly Deal, I know it’s Monopoly but this is one of the best games I’ve ever played for travelling, I take them on all our trips to Salute and UKGE etc. Never a dull moment for this game.

Lightseekers, two decks are well worth a few games, take two d10s if you want to keep track of health.

Kingdomino or Carcassonne, put the components into a bag for less packaging.

Jaipur, easy and strategic card game.

Onitama, like chess but… new with a cool Eastern theme.

Standard deck of cards, learn something like Jack Changes or Hearts.

Generally card games like KeyForge and LCGs by FFG are good picks for games that you can take on travel. You easily get 2 or even 4 decks with you since those don’t take lot of space and those can be easily played on table of any size.

Strife:Legacy of the Eternals.  It’s a card game that comes in a tin with a single D12.  It starts out a simple game, but then the tactics and combos really unfold the more you play.  My SO and I never travel without it.  Needs at bit of table space to play, but otherwise very compact.

It also works between different kinds of players.  You can screw and be screwed over whether you think about all possible counters or just slap a card down.

Edit: It’s also beautiful, which triggered my initial buy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve never heard of most of these which is excellent. I’ll start looking them up now. Cheers!
