    Looks great @brennon. Mcp is definitely a fun game and the models are a blast to paint

    The core set was a decent price for what you got, but the price of expansions put me off.

    Some people might buy the Marvel Crisis 2022 Card Pack to get a load of extra stat cards for heroes and villains and then shop on places like Etsy for proxy miniatures… that’s what I did anyway. I also have a few heroxclix that I could use too.

    You get the updated cards for the following:

    Ah good idea. I have spied someone on Etsy selling a bunch of miniatures from Trident and C27 that look like they’d be good proxy miniatures

    Welcome Aboard.  I really like what you have already painted! I love building and painting these little supers. I’ve only played a few times but like the game play.  Some really good resources out there;

    First off, AMG ( https://www.atomicmassgames.com/mcp/ ) has just about all their character cards, and tactics cards as well as rules and tournament scenarios downloadable on their site.

    Second, Jarvis-Protocol ( https://www.jarvis-protocol.com/ ) as it has every rule and card updated as well as a gallery of people’s paint jobs.  Great tools for list building and just checking out which character that might fill that hole in your strategy.

    I suggest the podcast Fury’s Finest as they are all about the love of the comics/movies/game and not just playing to win.

    Still having the comic collector’s mentality I’m all about getting deals on things and rarely paying retail (when I do it’s at my FLGS) so I love game flea markets, garage sales, boot sales, eBay, etc for picking up random collections and used terrain kits.  I also save a lot of money in barter as I have a bunch of old stuff collected and will even paint for minis.  You are correct that the core sets are both great deals and have everything you need to play.

    @brennon the money isn’t that big an issue, because as you say it’s supposed to be a low model count game.  OTOH as I’ve noticed with MAWM just because the on-tabletop model count is low that doesn’t stop me from collecting a lot of them ;).

    I’m more annoyed with the lack of proper manuals (it’s all digital?) and the weirdly inconsistent release schedule with stuff flying under my radar far too often. I’m not sure if I want to invest into something when there’s so many things in my pile of potential that I really should be finishing first.

    Back to MCP itself.
    I wish I knew more about the superheroes.  Only a few of the ones in the core box are familliar to me, which greatly reduces the value of that box. I keep wanting to see Batman and the Joker, but having to remember that they’re not Marvel :rofl:

    BTW : a “getting started with …” article would be a great series for OTT. You could start with MCP and then do Burrows&Badgers next 😉
