Jenna Moran announced a forthcoming new RPG:

Here’s hoping for some input from James Wallis.

Given James Wallis’ performance with Kickstarter projects over the last few years I think any sensible person would want him as far away from their project as possible.

Well, there are two examples that spring to mind.  The first was a Kickstarter he ran for an indie RPG of his own design, Alas, Vegas which overran by several years, was notable for a year-long silence from Mr Wallis (plus several smaller gaps of several months at a time) that was estimated to be delivered in Jun 2013 and was nearly 5 years late.  All the while, Mr Wallis’ attitude was atrocious.

Then there was the Paranoia kickstarter that was delayed because of Mr Wallis missing several deadlines.  My experiences with the first Kickstaretr stopped me from backing that one once I saw who was listed as a creator, so I consider it a lucky escape!

Alas. I always got the impression that Mr. Wallis was particular, so i wouldn’t be surprised if that led to delays. But in any case i’m sorry to hear it. Still, i’d like his input if not his management, as it were. Whatever it was he did that made the Noibilis 2nd Edition the GWB was magic.

Delays I can live with, but it was the complete lack of communication and then abuse of the backers who had the audacity to question the progress that put me off anything he will be involved with in the future.  Which is a shame because hwne he is on form his work is usually excellent.
