Going back to the original release  schedule for v4 Late War ( https://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=6359 ) we should have been getting news and pre-orders for Late War, D-day British in Feb 2020, i.e. about now!

I see WW3 British on their site, but as far as I’m aware you can’t use them in ’47-’48 Normandy to Berlin conflict! 😉

Anyone heard or read anything about it being pushed  back or will I look foolish within 48 hours?

I’ve not heard anything @coxjul but I checked the trade account feb releases and it’s only TY. That’s not to say that they won’t move things around. On the plus side Battlefront are visiting next week so we shall wring information from them for you. Watch this space

Thanks @avernos. I’ve fired a query to Battlefront too and will share anything I hear.

I note they’ve also announced the WW3 British will be delayed by a week…

    Reply from Battlefront:

“There has been a small delay with the D-Day British book, It is now scheduled for release in March of this year.  There will be information and articles hitting the web site towards the end of this month. Not to long to wait now.”

Whilst you have them in the stocks, erm, comfy chairs…i’d be interested to know what of the new plastic kits for TY and FoW we can expect to see this year in Tanks.

Some idea of what’s coming next t month in terms of British would be great, as well as finding out how they’re catering for Commonwealth and other small nations in WW2.

Quick update. WW2 Brits pushed back to mid March and followed by 8 week release schedule.

Hopefully we’ll get another visit early March to go through in detail.

With that in mind feel free to post questions and we shall attempt to get answers on that visit

    Thanks Gerry!

Will have to do with the 1,000 points of WW3 Soviets incoming for a late birthday present then!

I know… more of that coming soon too, but assuming T-64s, BMP-2s and Hinds will give me a good core for whatever else is coming.

Will there a ‘big 4’ kind of army box deal like they did for FoW ?
British already got one, and I’m pretty sure Americans and Soviets will get one too.

If they’re doing a NATO army box for WW3/TY then … *eh* I might have yet another army project on my ‘to do list’

Thanks!  After the amount I’ve recently dumped on WW3 Soviets, plus incoming presents, I may need to be selective for a couple of months… start with the book and plan carefully.

Assuming they come to be, any plans for unboxing videos on any parts of the new range?

This has been getting me interested in building a 7th Armoured Division force using the new Desert Rats Start box but I cannot for the life of me work out what is different about the included “Parachute Platoon” in the new box set as opposed to the Rifle Platoon.
None of the box art images are hi def to get a real look at the details.

Comparing the forthcoming dedicated infantry boxes might give a better idea, I presume the subtle differences in weapon loadout, probably only about 10% of the figures will be different with different base configs; depends how fussy you and your opponents are about WYSIWYG…

    New Paras (BBX49): https://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=79&ProductID=8913

“Contains: 22x Infantry Teams and 7x Unit Cards. Use this box to build: Parachute Company (Company HQ And 2x Platoons) or Airlanding Company (Company HQ And 2x Platoons)”

    New Rifles (BBX53): https://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=79&ProductID=8917

“Contains: 20x Infantry Teams and 16x Unit Cards. Use this box to build: Rifle Company Company (Hq And 2x Platoons), Or Motor Company (Company Hq And 2x Platoons), Or Commando Troop (Company Hq And 2x Sections)”

Yeah, I’ve been squinting at those images all lunch break and the only differences I am totally  convinced of is that the Parachute company has more Machine Gun teams and that they built them with different hats. 😛

Might end up diving in anyway and if they are really off kilt, I can pretend some 6th Airborne got lost and are hanging around when things kick off. Gaming in the gaps, right.
