As for source/army books, pretty much everything in 5th edition FB and 3rd edition 40K or prior to that stands head and shoulders over everything that came after as far as I’m concerned.\Depth, content, variety – dare I say ‘diversity’ – creativity, illustrations, even the text.

There was an excellent rant on YouTube by a South African guy (his channel was called ‘Colour of the Gods’) who compared the Rogue Trader rulebook and older versions of WHFB to AoS and edition X of 40K……
