I recently finished a miniature off for a friend who is playing a dwarven fighter in our DnD campaign. He provided the model, which is from the WotC ‘Nolzur’s Marvellous Miniatures’ range. These are pre-primed and cheap (which shows). I had to do a lot of clean-up on the model and reprimed it, as well as straightened out the weapons.

This was also my first proper attempt at NMM on all of the metal components following the Andy Wardle course I took last year. I am really pleased with how it turned out and will be practising this a lot more on future projects!

My next human projects, I think I’m going to spend more time highlighting the face a little more heavily to really make it stand out. It is ok as it is but looking back at it I immediately see where that could be better.

The NMM  turned out pretty sweet.

Nice work mate. Your friend is lucky to have your services, he looks better than many other rpg mini paint jobs I’ve seen. Great work on the nmm.

By Odin’s beard that is a great dwarf beard!

Also, love the bloodied snow on the base, very cool work, very characterful RPG mini.
