This arrived only about an hour ago so I thought it would be a good idea to delve in…. sadly my lights gave out (fixed now) and the quality settings seemed to have gone a little screwy.

Anyway if you can forgive all of that I have done an unboxing video… enjoy

Looks like a lot of painting ahead (or are you going to try and get the lil uns to paint this one up?).

I’ve not got, but watched the “official” core space unboxing that let me know that the “mystery” white bits of cardboard are used to make a storage lattice of all of the cardboard bits (after you have punched them out of the sheets) that fits back into the bottom of the main box. They also recommend gluing the smaller bits like tables, chairs and chests together so that it speeds up the set up for the game.

The “mystery” white bits of cardboard have stumped the makers of every unboxing so far, so you not the only one 😀

Reminds me, did they say who won the hardback edition of the rulebook yet?

What do you think of the quality of the miniatures ?

I can’t really tell the two extra crews apart, except for the really big gray brute of an alien they don’t appear to match their character cards.

@limburger for me they are good board game quality, very much what I have seen from the likes of Mantic and SFG etc. I was never expecting GW type levels. I think once primed and given a simple paint job they will probably jump to life.

@laughingboy definitely Mantic. Although I think Mantics are a bit better, but it might be because these are a tad too skinny.

Looks like a great table, I got mine on Wednesday but haven’t had a chance to do more than open the box. Have you had a chance for a game yet?

Sure it’s wise to play a game that allows lots of backstabbin’ with the young ‘uns (chaos may ensue and Dad might get grounded) 😀

PARTICULARY if they’ve watched the “Lets Play” videos with Justin (he’s a bad influence if you ask me)

Great videos, thank you. Wish I’d have backed it now but my backlog of untouched, unpainted kickstarter stuff is getting ridiculous.
