    Hello guys and girls

I missed this years Salute but made the last few years. Last year I saw a great US Civil War board which was in a slightly larger scale then the normal 28mm. Some pictures below.

As everyone knows, when you get older, you go historical lol. The table made really interested in doing US Civil War or Napoleonic, US War of Independence in this bigger scale.

I did speak to a gentleman at the table who told the miniature range and scale they use but like an idiot, I didn’t write it down and forgot.

dows anyone have any suggestion for appropriate miniature ranges or rule sets? Much appreciated.

That’s exactly it, thank you. Looking at Sash and Saber now 🙂 Could you recommend a rule set?

Old Glory UK sell Sash and Sabre 40mm or at least they used to Wargames Foundry also sell 50mm ACW Not sure about rules though as I play large scale rules. I heard good things about Brother Vs Brother if there still available

I think there’s an ACW variant for Sharpe practice  as well

As @torros said Sash and Sabre, they are the only 40mm ACW minis I’ve ever seen in the “flesh” and they looked awesome.

If you’re after a skirmish game then Sharp Practice is my favourite and for larger games in the past I’ve used Regimental Fire and Fury and Black Powder although I haven’t played 2nd Edition.

I’ve got some 28mm Sharp Practice ACW Projects currently running if you want to check out Sharp Practice.

Sharp Practice is my favorite by far. The strategy involved along with the large skirmish level make it great for me.
