An update on Reign Absolute:
I spoke with Adam from Reign Absolute and picked up a couple of extra details.
The art has been sourced from various international artists: in his main job Adam is an animator, so he’s got access to skilled people.
They’ve been working on the game mechanics, developing it over the last 3 years. The structure is more in line with an LCG, they’re specifically calling out that it’s not a new TCG/CCG.There is also plans for a “terrain” expansion, with tiles to lay on the standard board with differing effects.

SW: Legion is the focus at the moment, more stuff will be coming up on the website in the future.
An awesome multipart container ship:
Paul is starting to add 3D printed elements to his pieces as well. Is this the future of MDF? MDF+3D?

doing a quality range of minis in different scales, they’ve got 18mm, 28mm and 54mm
a couple of stand-out painted choices:
18mm Goblins by Goblin Factory
I don’t know who needs to see these, but:

Last year I bought two of his Goblin Plague Striders (Goblins in Plague Doctor masks, walking on stilts, of course!). I still haven’t built them, but they are great.
Some other work by them:This year sees the release of a few new Miniatures too.

For much of the weekend I’ve been hanging around the Infinity Tournament. One of the contestants is a very good friend of mine, and he did quite well (actually a PB for him, he got into the top 10).
CanCon is big enough for Corvus Belli to sit someone down to pre-record a seminar (similar to those you may have seen at other Cons you may be familiar with) and that someone is, of course, Carlos.
I was fortunate enough to be there while the video played. Rather than upload a janky, shaky, poor-sound-quality, shot-on-my-phone quality video… I’ll summarise some key points!
Supplemented with low-quality photos ?
For Aristeia a new Double Trouble box set coming soon featuring two new contestants: Lei Gong (as seen in the Defiance KS) and a new Dog-Warrior. Sorry, I didn’t catch the name. These were announced during/ around Defiance I believe, but renders are seen here:
Speaking of Defiance, in the latest update we saw the art for Agnes, the pilot NPC
Now we have a render of the mini:
Also, coming Soon:
The Pledge Manager. I’m fairly confident it will be soon, as you’ll see in the next part.January 26, 2020 at 1:49 pm #1479026Corvus Belli CanCon 2020 Seminar Part 2
The next starter/ box set to come will be
Wow, that’s really hard to read…
Its called Operation: Kaldstrom. It’ll feature PanO vs Yu Jing. Why two such “usual” factions? This release will coincide with the launch of Code One.
Code One is the new “easy-play” version of full Infinity. No Sectorials, vanilla factions only. Designed to teach new players the core elements of the game, before they progress to the full version.
So, that’s plenty of work for CB to do in the near future. They seem to have things planned out though
So, Adepticon is when they want to launch Kaldstrom and Code One. Gencon they want N4 and Defiance going out. Interplaniterio isn’t within the months after that, and finally in October? Some super-secret project that Carlos hinted was coming, then couldn’t say anything more about…
Some points quickly about N4
- changing how a Crits work
- streamling Hacking rules
- making Hacking viable against “non-hackable” targets
- New Tags coming, and a couple of resculpts
- One Pan-O sectorial WILL be discontinued, but another sectorial will replace them.
- new minis coming for Shasvastii and Haqqislam
OK, So if any of this interests you, this video will be uploaded to the official CB YouTube page. Do check it out, because I’ve surely missed some things.

January 26, 2020 at 11:47 pm #1479309Thanks for doing this! I couldn’t make CanCon this year and have missed it so great to follow along here. Stinking hot as usual I imagine.
January 27, 2020 at 2:51 am #1479324@jamesedwards you are most welcome!
It was a great show, and fun to attend ?It was hot this year, though not as hot as the one day I visited last year I feel.
January 30, 2020 at 5:43 am #1480668Just as a follow-up to this one, CB have officially posted the CanCon 2020 Seminar on youtube. Enjoy!
January 30, 2020 at 8:34 am #1480691Thanks for all those lovely pictures. Love the b/w Ork display.
Does anybody know where the spaceship in front of the first infinity table comes from? That would fit SW:L perfectly
