Calling All Hobby Heroes – A Hobby Holiday Weekender Type Thing

I am beat. A Xmas party Friday night that I went to right after work which ended the night with 21 hrs awake. I saw the following sweater being worn and needed to share a reason to pass around the eye bleach.

 

Today was spent procrastinating against cleaning before delivering a presents to some friends which included a 5 foot long stuffed turtle for their sons.  and then hurrying home to do some more procrastinating and then latenight painting to try and get something done before my promised deadline later today.

Off to sleep and wake to finish my last minute painting. I’ll take some pics when I’m coherent again.

Ok… I just read all the posts and saw the craziness of German gift giving… that has moved me to act.

Had a short 90 – 120 minutes of a free house to assemble. Finished everything posted and another model too. Pics to follow. Took everything quickly as was in a rush all the way through.

Some laptop time after pulling a Ferris Bueller tidying up my hobby area. I still have a Gloomtide Shipwreck, Nightvault Starter set and issues of Conquest to chew away through. Wish the weather wasn’t as damp as I have a lot of game of thrones minis to prime…

My Conquest Sub always seems to be a little behind. Luckily I did get the Deathguard model Foul Blightspawn to assemble and play with. I am defending the ERF 40k championship on Saturday so he will be getting a run out then.

Hobby wise I’ve been playing Star Saga. I’ve read the comments above about it and I’ve not found that to be the case, however, I am playing solo and on early missions so I may change my mind. I did find the Forge Father to be really good until he died of a trap right on the verge of winning the mission. Very exciting.

Talking of Mantic Games I have bought myself Here’s Negan for Christmas. Not due to arrive till next week mind you. It is the pre order version with the All Out War cards. ?.

There has been much unboxing. My lovely wife got me Fallout The Board game which has been on my wishlist since it was published but was hard to get in Germany. And thanks to @horati0nosebl0wer my daughter went on a sticker sticking frenzy but is very happy with the three different horsy-thingies. Sadly Boba didn’t make it… at least not in one piece. The body came loose from the jetpack despite all the packing efforts. But the paintjob is undamaged so a little bit of superglue will remedy everything. Many thanks for that special Boba. 🙂

I’m back to unbox and pushing out paper bits from cardboard. Happy Holidays everyone. 🙂

@sundancer Good to hear that the figures were well received by your daughter. I figured that three little goats would fit into story time as well. It sucks that Boba didn’t stay stuck but all in all its good info to have anyway and use something stronger for future packages. I’m really glad that the paint was fine as that would have been a pain to try and figure out again.

Now, time to begin the craziness of making way for the new year pledges and kicking out some of the things I have neglected.

It’s 10pm here, I can barely keep my eyes open.

It was a low-key casual day, but it was hot. Damn hot.

In my part of Oz you usually get two kinds of Christmas Day: Bloody hot, or stormy as hell. Every so often you get one that’s dry but not sweltering. Ah well, that’s what we get.

Got home a couple of hours ago, been trying to update my Elf project, but my net connection is poo. Got one update done, but it just keeps hanging whenever I hit “publish”. Looks like it’s loading and does nothing more.

Back to hobby tomorrow, maybe… Boxing Day sales… I might just get home and collapse.

I’m waiting for Kingdom Death to update their store, see what they’re offering.

Hope everyone has been having a good Christmas Day so far and that they found lots of plastic/metal/resin etc.. under the tree.

I managed to find some time to do some hobby yesterday and assembled the 30/40k Vyper that I had printed out:

Next is to use some green stuff to file some of the gaps that have turned up.  The stl is not mine it is from thingiverse.
