    Roughly the colour I remember using on the 10 I did, did vary mine in shade a bit for time in the sun, borrowed British/Italian kit (particularly shorts).

    Think I might have some vehicles done for them as well, been a bit will have to look in display cabinet. Know I did two motorcycle and sidecars. Figures were Aritizan not sure about biked may have been Battle honours.

    Might try and put some photos up of what I did in the past for inspiration at weekend for myself!

    Actually bought two Warlord Chevy 30cwt trucks, two four-man SAS / LDRG teams, and of course 3 crew come with each of those trucks (yes, all from Warlord) … The men I think I already have delivered, the trucks are on their way.  I don’t think I’ll be “playing” them on the table top (not included in the boot camp list) – but maybe during the “free gaming” that comes after boot camp officially closes on Sunday.

    But oh God!  28mm!  God help me!  I’ve started a whole new scale!  *sob*

    I like my DAK in various greens and sand tones.

    The caps in particular, the lighter the more seasoned and experienced the wearer.

    Just ordered a Panzer IIIJ, 88, and some infantry to try out some test schemes.

    I have lots of 15mm WW2 paiting experience…..28mm is new to me.

    I saw these two armies listed on Warlords’ website :
    1000pt 8th starter army
    British Desert Rats, 8th Army – 1000pt starter army

    1000pt DAK starter army
    German Deutsches Afrika Korps, DAK – 1000pt Starter army

    I wonder … does this mean we’ve got possible intel on our enemy ?

    The LRDG definitely are a cool unit.
    Their assault on airfields would make for interesting scenarios.
    Although they may not be as practical a force in tournaments for wargames.

    @oriskany : there’s no such thing as too many armies … 😉

    @leifer1971 – “I have lots of 15mm WW2 painting experience…..28mm is new to me.”

    You and I are in exactly the same boat – perhaps chained to the same oar.

    Check you out, @suetoniuspaullinus – with lighter-shaded caps for the more seniors troops.  Next you’ll be telling me you’ve got different armies and units for different times of the day based on how much stubble they have on their faces.

    “These are my evening soldiers for engagements after 17:00 … you’ll notice I painted slight bags under the eyes and he’s got a little bit of “5 o’clock shadow.”  Now this squad over here is noticeably more fresh-faced, for battles earlier in the morning after a good cup of coffee …”
