I’ve been sent a digital advanced copy of the North Africa stuff for Flames. Unfortunately it’s embargoed until mid Jan, so I can’t upload any sneak peeks of it. It’s basically all theprevious books for that period of the war combined and updated.

Not too sure what to think about the North Africa book.
I kind of like that it (probably) will have all of the theatre in one book (finally).
I probably will be want the Soviet book to reboot my hobby mojo for building an eastern front force … (’cause I doubt I will have finished before the release :D)

The starter forces do look similar to the stuff we had at the FoW Desert war bootcamp (’88’s, tanks and artillery for the Afrika korps). The lack of infantry is sad, because it is something that does need more presence in this scale.

I agree on infantry but I suspect they have lower sales compared  to tanks and other vehicles.

I wonder when we hear from their Dune Tabletop again : D

@warhammergrimace I think infantry lack the sexyness of tanks (and they’re more annoying to paint for beginners).
Given the target audience of FoW that is kind of understandable. Heck … one reason my soviet horde is not finished is the infantry and the ‘OMG what have I done’ moment when I realised how much I had to do …

@yoshi they did a Dune tabletop game ? or were they planning to do one ?
I suspect licensing may be an issue …  although he did indicate that there might be surprises for their anniversary next year.
It could be something simple, but they’re also doing ‘Red Dawn’ instead of NATO focussed WW3 content for some reason …

There was also a mention of a Mid-War Eastern Front book with a picture and two(?) new starter sets like the Kasserine set, but without giving names for them. I hope one is the Liberation set from Singapore in english.
