I believe a Kickstarter is going to be how they make this happen.

I had a revelation recently regarding miniatures scales.  I am now in the process of switching my collection of RPG miniatures over to 28mm “true scale” (i.e. that used in historical games) and I can’t wait for this range to be released. There’s some amazing stuff already available from Footsore but these Barons Wars miniatures look really good.  It’s also good to see another company making medieval miniatures because having looked around a lot of the miniatures available in that period aren’t the greatest, certainly there isn’t the same array of choices that you would get for Dark Ages and Ancients.  If this is going to Kickstarter I can see this being my first proper historical kickstarter.

Just a little more info… from Mr Hobday’s Facebook account

The Kickstarter campaign itself will be quite a simple one. There’ll be a single pledge level – £1 – and the opportunity to increase the amount pledged to match the number of packs you wish to buy. Each pack of four infantry models (or two mounted models) will be £7 each (later retailing for £8). The initial offering will include 10 packs, which we hope to expand during the course of the campaign, as Paul and I have a couple of surprises up our sleeves.

I have read through other blogs, but they are more cumbersome and confusing than your posts. I hope you continue to have such quality articles to share with everyone! I believe a lot of people will be surprised to read this article!

    Barons’ War•
Further masters made in preparation for the Kickstarter shown here is a pack of foot knights and a pack of spearmen/militia. We’re on track to be in a position to have all masters ready for the 15th of September leaving us needing a successful Kickstarter to enable production.  🙂

I think it’s been verified that these will actually be in metal…?

They are in metal and £7 a pack but I think I read that there may be some resin casts available during the Kickstarter.

I imagine so, resin is more expensive so them to produce and metal is such a nice material to play with.

I prefer resin by far but Andy promised me a set so I’ll go fully on board here!

I still battle with paint chipping on metals despite gloss varnish etc.

Don’t particularly care about the weighty feeling a lot of folks are after..

I just prefer metal as a material over resins and plastics but I can work with any if forced. Not that it matters as we all know I’m not looking at these.
