For anyone that knows him Mal Wright from Oz a well know Historical gamer and writer of Many Naval camouflage books had a major disaster this week , He had a fire that destroyed most of his yard and the shed wiht his wargames collection. He luckily managed to save his house apart from some minor electrical damage and is recovering from Smoke innulation.
Although his insurance will cover most of the damage, it wont be able to replace the time and effort put in or the memories .
He has put some photos of the damage and now has a lot of plastic and metal pools in what was his beloved shed.
So I hope we can all wish him well.

There was some worries about the cats who had disappeared during the events , but they turned up later.
Being cats they has sensibly decided to be somewhere else.
One of my biggest nightmares is a fire taking all my gaming stuff.

Yeah I saw this on the Blitzkrieg commander Facebook page. I think he said everyone was OK. Gaming stuff is a very secondary consideration
