So in theory the work he has done so far will still be released as is.

A really mean manager/company would find a way to fix that … (but FFG/AMG are no Konami so … ).

    Yes

Yes but that would hurt them in the long run because some would need to redo all of his work 😉

Sure AMG are not doing the best. In comparison to the old FFG system it is way behind. For a company handling two of the biggest, if not the biggest IPs there just doesn’t seem to have been much investment at all. It seems strange too still not to have any visual elements concerning Star Wars on the front page (or in fact a decent web appearance at all compared to FFG). Either it is incompetence or by design. Considered how a reasonable structure in FFG was split up it wouldn’t be unlikely for the latter.

It’s interesting though, like you said Star Wars is one of the biggest IPs out there, that is FFG/AMG guardian angel. With all their issues with stock and supply and the debacle that was XWing 2.0 people are still clamouring for more, so why bother when people will still buy whatever they release. If the games had been anything elsethey would have crashed and burned years ago

@captainventanus we as outsiders can’t see what is going on inside the company.
They might be planning a new website … and all they need is to have the stars in alignment so they can unleash it upon the world.

New management also has a tendency to want to change things just so they can say that they did stuff.
It doesn’t matter how trivial or stupid that change is.

And just because AMG now is handling Starwars that doesn’t mean that FFG (and its employees) just handed them all of the info available. There may be stuff that is never written down, heck … I can guarantee there’s lots of information that isn’t written down (or if it is the reality doesn’t match the documented proces), because doing such things requires effort and it requires people who are willing to make themselves replacable and/or obsolete.

I was always hoping to see more variety in the Galactic Civil War era ships for Armada.  I REALLY want them to hit all the starship options from the Rebel and Imperial Sourcebooks (West End Games).  I know, I know, there’s something about not using the extended universe or something…but a guy can still dream.  So many great ship options out there.  The Empire has too many “pie-slice” ships.  They need more variety.  We also need more dual/faction cards for some of the ships.  The Nebulon-B Frigate was an Imperial ship.  The ones the Alliance have are from ship-jackings and defectors.  In the New Republic era, the “Alliance” even has Star Destroyers.  They could add a lot of versatility just with some alt-faction cards for old ship models.  But I digress…

My wallet is relieved that I’ve, barely, been able to keep out of X-wing by my fingernails.  But if they came out with a range of “Ugly” fighters…all hope might be lost…

Just on the off chance you’re not just a troll account… why would Luke disappoint us for getting fired? You’re making no sense in a thread that’s 7 months old.

I have a Star Destroyer and I’m willing to deploy it if AMG does not get their shit together, soon.

    It sucks, doesn’t it ?
A great IP and a good game that could go head to head with the 40k/AoS games from GW if and only if AMG could get their shit together.

I suppose that the event (stay indoors!) didn’t help things.

When it comes to how AMG will develop the game, I’ll wait a year and a half at minimum until I’ll make any judgement statement, because developing and implementing correctly takes time. Unless they botch something big time before that…

When it comes to stock of product or lack thereof – yeah, it’s difficult to judge at the moment due to Corona.

What raises my eyebrow at the moment, though – big time – is the lack of communication or the clusterfuck which they propably call communication. There’s no AMG go-to-site where you can easily check news, and what news there is you have to piece together from their live streams and posts on several social media sites or from third party-sites. FFG was great with their communication.

I wouldn’t call it communication but they sure had a very good way of letting you know what was coming or has been planned. AMG has a lot to learn in that department.
