damn … don’t make me regret not backing or buying this … 😀
I hope it manages to become popular enough for to warrant more expansions in the next few years.
Keeping the momentum after launch is always tricky for (expensive) games like this. That “let’s play” looks familliar 😉
November 14, 2018 at 11:39 pm #1301963I got a mild metric tonne of extras. I’ll be sure to make you angry at yourself in the coming days as I post up all he extras I got.
November 15, 2018 at 4:19 am #1301985@mage and other players will find this an invaluable resource when building your lists.
November 15, 2018 at 5:17 am #1301996With the this topic inspiration, I will have to get back to painting my Stark army 🙂
And I have created a painting thread to keep me motivated.

I have a unit of Outrider half painted and a unit of Sworn Swords also that need to be finished to finish my starter set of Starks.
November 15, 2018 at 5:53 am #1302001Don’t forget the official app as well! I really like this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cmon.asif&hl=en_US
Don’t know the link but it’s on iOS as well.
November 15, 2018 at 5:58 am #1302004@dreadknot69 Thanks for the link. I will try and see if it’s on IOS now.
November 15, 2018 at 6:00 am #1302005Yep. It sure is 🙂
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/war-council/id1425999624?mt=8
Thanks for that as I had no idea it was around.
November 15, 2018 at 6:38 am #1302009November 15, 2018 at 8:00 am #1302013I’ve downloaded the App for IOS and had a gander and first impressions is that it looks incredible! Very swish.
The best feature of the app is that you can add your personal collection and save it so that when you create lists they will be based on the collection you currently own.
Have only played the game a few times, and must say now, I’m itchin to get back into playing it again.

Any factions appealing to you
@tanath Shall we have a ‘Stark-off’ this weekend, so?
November 15, 2018 at 10:14 am #1302105The app is good. Nice simple and effective to use. A few other companies should take note.
I wasn’t a Kickstarter backer and wasn’t interested in the IP or game. Seeing some games played here and on Youtube got me interested because it just looked like fun. I managed to get a full pledge on eBay for cheaper than the KS too.
This will be a slow burn project to me, as 40k is the focus, but ASOIAF ticks the rank and file box I never thought I was interested in.
First test Stark. Nothing fancy, but I think rather good when whole units are done.
November 15, 2018 at 10:18 am #1302110Nice find @captainventanous 🙂
@mage I would love to mate but I live too far from my friend who has the Lanister army and I only meet up once a month to play at the store. I have contacted him however to get motivated to play again sometime soon.
November 15, 2018 at 11:06 am #1302117@captainventanus I like ’em!
@tanath You can always join in on a hobby weekender thread once you are free 🙂
November 15, 2018 at 5:37 pm #1302417@mage : that’s another (minor) thing that kind of kept me from backing.
The factions looked too similar and I don’t know the books enough to pick between Lannister and Stark (or whatever factions they’ll expand to next). I do like how the commander/heroes are backed by neutral NPC’s with their own little tweaks.
IMHO a wargame needs more than 2 distinct factions in order to be a bit more than an advanced form of chess.
I’ve got more than enough armies to paint already so whenever I pick a medieval mass combat game this one may be at the top of my list. If the game survives and manages to feed of the Game of Thrones audience to increase its potential player base.
