Age of Sigmar 2nd edition – Soul Wars announced

just posted on Warhammer Community, AoS Second edition is almost here and starts with a new boxed set called Soul Wars.

Contains 2 armies: Stormcast vs Nighthaunt (all push fit models too), Starting guide, and the new 320 page core book.

Core book contains background plus all the rules, including battleplans, realm of battle rules, battleplan generator, Narrative play ideas, etc.

The Core book will also be available separately.

 

Also releasing soon: the Malign Sorcery expansion.

This contains all 13 endless spell plus their models, and a book that covers all of them and adds new scenarios, magic items and new rules.

The book will also have rules for Skirmish games on the Realm’s Edge and Path to Glory!

 

Alongside this, GW have announced the 2018 Generals Handbook, objective markers, new dice and 4 new easy to build kits to accompany Soul Wars.

Pre order begins June 16th!

Iv tried to find the price for this boxed set Soul Wars while reading this months white dwarf magazine, why don’t they have the price on it in the mag.? That tell you all about it and to preorder but don’t tell you how much it is.

@rusty : maybe it’s because the old saying “if you gotta ask then you can’t affords it / if you gonna buy it then there’s no real need to mention it” ?

I don’t have any AoS stuff yet so I’m looking at this with interest. It looks like a similar product to Dark Imperium so I would guess it would be the same price but I suppose we’ll find out in a week anyway.

As a returning GW player I have to say, I have watched with some scepticism over the past couple of years but their recent activities have convinced me they have returned from the dark side and I have jumped in at what appears to be the perfect time 🙂

Just taken a look at the 360 degree pics of the new Banshees and they look even nicer than the 2D pic; the 2D pic doesn’t do them justice and I’m willing to bet the same will go for all the new ghost minis.
