Well after my first attempt in to the 3D world went bad. The CR10S was sent back as it wasn’t working properly. I almost gave up. But I am now the proud owner of a Prusa i3 Mk 2s. Going to give it a go Saturday, but did a calibration test on the xyz when I got home tonight and all good. So any tips or advice greatfully accepted. Got a good deal on a hardly used 2nd hand one and was given 5 rolls of filament to play with too.

here is a tip: PLA filament should be kept in it’s original vacu-packed plastic until you actually are going to use it, because it often gets brittle and might snap at an unfortunate moment if exposesd to air and moisture.

Sounds like a good find there, I hope you have lots of fun with it. If you are interested in printing terrain I can recommend Printable Scenery, they are well worth the cost if you like the model.

Well I did the ship thing, then a couple of other test pieces a Batman type piece and a base for x5 25mm figures to sit on.  Then I tried to be a bit more adventurous and tried printing a 28mm British 6pdr.  Mixed results going to have to look at this slicing softwear and try get my head round it.  But it’s like a hobby in itself.
