It’s the Weekend!
This page a bit late for the early birds, been up on YouTube for a while…
Morning! Yup the autoschedular failed 🙁 Sorry about that!
and there I was thinking you were posting it yourself …
of course that had me wonder why you would be awake this early in a weekend 😉
Yes, have to watch Saturday morning not Friday night
Ben is getting obsessed with his TV. Is he turning into Evil Edna?
The man is houseproud?
@lloyd Paper armies on Facebook?. I knew I would get someone interested
you win mate 🙂
I always do!. Except in gaming where I usually fail miserably
And adulting in general
Isn’t the old Shane’s Castle train up at Dunluce somewhere?
Yup it was moved to the causeway, I took Andrea and the chaps from corvus Belli on it a few years back, was telling Andrea repeatedly how it brought back memories of riding on the little Shane’s castle train with my granda.
Found out two years ago it was the same train and track! lol
I can imagine Lloyd standing on the platform in his Duffel coat and flask of tea and meat paste sandwiches looking into the distance with us trainspotter note book gripped in his hand and then he spies the train his excitement rises as it gets closer . He peers closer at the number as the train pulls in and then a frown and maybe a little stamp of the foot as he thinks ” Darn I this is the same train I’ve spotted 86 days running”
Let’s find some grown men on small trains clips…

Starting with this one. I’m particularly drawn to the second passenger’s body language, and later you see why. The chap facing him clearly knows far too much about trains and isn’t afraid too share that knowledge.
Basic rule – no kids allowed (or at least a 5 adults to one child ratio)
lol challenge accepted https://youtu.be/1wmiFhSLh_I
This is a good one

The Empire of Men minis would be awesome in the Weird War 1 setting for the Savage Worlds PRY. https://www.peginc.com/product-category/weird-war-i/
Also, for Lloyd: http://tinytownrailroad.com/railroad/
RPG, not PRY. Damn spellchecker.
Well well well, we finally get Lloyd back and he doesn’t disappoint, trains. So now it is time the main room becomes the Irish version of Miniature Wunderland.
Zombie Lloyd says ‘Trains!’
I along with most backers (aside from USA) am still waiting for my Rail Raiders pledge a year after it was supposed to deliver. The contact with KS pledgers has been appalling and basically they have been fobbing us off for over a year about the production. The more I read about SodaPop and Ninja Division the more I think they are having financial issues. So much of what they are saying just doesn’t add up, and it all points to them fulfilling previous orders by creating new ones – like some gaming Ponzi scheme. I won’t get involved with… Read more »
Have we got the link to the Micro Art Studio Kickstarter page?
As far as I can tell it’s not actually live yet. At least it’s not listed as one of their created campaigns on the Kickstarter site.
there was a technical issue so it hasn’t gone live today, Lukasz is hoping to have it up tomorrow I believe
It’s alive!

Happy weekend guy`s, nice to see…………. Choo Choo man (@Lloyd) finally showing up. It has been awhile, nice to see you back.
Looking forward to the Wild West Exodus week, i like the mini`s and especially the vehicles and with the new “Ramming Rules” it`ll make for some interesting game`s.
White Wolf did alternative settings for all of the main storyteller games back in the day, the one for Wraith was set in WW1. Also Chaosium published one specific WW1 scenario for CoC, ‘No Man’s Land’.
Onyx Path have continued that tradition. The Chronicles of Darkness (formerly New World of Darkness) Dark Eras contains a WW1 setting for both Geist: The Sin-Eaters and Werewolf: The Forsaken. Plus it contains several historic settings for their other lines too.
Happy Weekend, I am looking forward to seeing how the Star Wars Destiny game works and hope the footage allows us to get a sense of the cards as well as the dice. It would be awesome to see a Dawn V Ben battle of the monitors as they play each other via Skype hehe. It does seem like more and more companies are starting their next KS before finishing the first, I mainly hear about it here or from a couple of my friends who are collectors. Even the bigger names are beginning to overlap their crowdfunding projects. I… Read more »
I hadn’t been planning to get into Destiny, but gave it a try on a whim while at a gaming store when a demo was offered, and fell in love with the game, I dislike CCGs model, even dropped out of Netrunner LCG due to the purchase upkeep (tho I loved Netrunner back in the day and kept those cards for ~20 years). What got me was how strategic the game was. Despite randomness of the dice, there are many ways to mitigate ad manage it. Despite randomness of the draw deck, there are ways o deal with that too.… Read more »
I already have a pile of the MicroArts Tau Ceti stuff, but the new pieces are really great. There’s no way I won’t be backing it.
I’m not Google going anything involving strange men riding!
Great Weekender!
Yup – things got a bit weird when I added ‘adult’ to my previously innocent searches about small steam train rides!
I don’t think it was mentioned, but my first thought for the Empire Of Men range was W40K.
yup the tanks especially make perfect imperial guard proxies
The best weekenders are @lloyd weekenders.
Do more freaking weekenders Lloyd!
Regarding the size of AT-AT: the machines stand 22.5m tall and 20m long, translating as 74 feet and 65 feet 9inches so in 1/56 scale (28mm) that comes to a height of 34.5cm and length of 30.7cm. I think I know where the confusion comes from. The Kenner/Palitoy figures were 3.5 inches in height or 8.86cm, so if the AT-AT for them had been made to true scale that would have stood 1.0925m tall – that is closer to the 4 feet Lloyd referred to. Regarding Star Wars boards, I would look at a desert board that could double for… Read more »
The Savage World’s RPG by Pinnacle has a Weird War I setting. The combat in Savage Worlds is very tactical and uses miniatures by default so any goog themed minis would be a welcome addition to the game.
The starfinder big lizard dude with the energy axe is actually a big lizard *lady*…with an energy axe, her backstory is up in one of their recent project updates. I’m loving the space goblins and space undead right now, well basically anything of theirs I can put the word space in front of. So space rats, space lizards, space humans….
space bars
Space Pants…
Dr Spaceman?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33OU_HOBBDs
Wouldn’t that be Space Doctor Dr Spaceman? In keeping with the setting and all. Annnd now to check Netflix for 30Rock.
Happy weekend guys!
For the Empire of Men figures there is one WWI RPG that I recommend: Weird War 1 by Pinnacle Entertainment for the Savage Worlds system is my favorite.

So wish I could go to the Warlord thing sounds CRAZY but I’m a world away
I wanna ride a tiny steam train too :p
Thanks for a great show 😀
You were pretty spot on with the pronunciation, Justin. I came up with the name while playing a game that asked for a high score name while skiving off at school. As a bonus, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be available whenever I sign up to a web site.
