A T-55AM2 Panzer Kompanie Rolls Out For Team Yankee’s Volks Armee
January 25, 2017 by brennon
Supporting the troops with some hardcore armour in Team Yankee we have the T-55AM2 Panzer Kompanie, a new unit of tanks for use with your Volks Armee force.
Inside the set, you're going to get five tanks which you can assemble up for your army. Each of the tanks are resin although you also get a plastic Tank Commander Sprue and a Decal Sheet too for getting the right insignia onto these lovely looking tanks.
While it might seem like it could go toe-to-toe with the American tanks in a straight up fight this won't be coming off better. The best idea is to use them as a team to both keep the enemy occupied whilst flanking your opponent for a better shot.
Quantity is a quality all of its own as they say. It does certainly make sense considering the ties the East Germans had.
What do you think of this new set?

Those are really good.
the perfect tank for WWII.5 games with ISIIs for the soviets.
Thinkin’ @oriskany will be all over this!
Now if I can just find some T-62s and M60A1s, I’ll be ready for the Sinai and the Golan Heights, 1973! 😀
Oh they are out there. I’ve burned many a long hour searching the internets for modern 15mm. All smaller companies, so metal with a slightly higher price tag though.
The AM2 is not of any use for 1973. You should check Battlefront’s Arab Israeli War range 😉
Wasn’t going to use the AM2 for YK/Ramadan War. And Battlefront’s FoaN range is for the wrong war (1967 Six Day – why they picked that one I’ll never know – other than I guess they had some of the models already produced from Tour of Duty Vietnam?)
This is why I don’t do historical.
Yes but I guess there would be still T-55 and T-55As around. So the models are useable for any later conflict.
If they made israelis I would be all over it! Was gona build from their Israeli line and try to see if the guys could find a way.
Israeli’s would be epic!
These look good, but I think I am going to hold out for the new T-54/55 kit that is coming out in April. http://theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=93_94_95&products_id=1336
