Add New Company Boxes To Your Flames Of War Mid-War Battles

Some brand new Company sets are available from Battlefront Miniatures for those diving into Flames Of War. Hopefully, you've checked out the unboxings over on the Flames Of War Hub because these are some neat options for boosting each of those World War II factions.

Each of the factions has been boosted with a whole bunch of different vehicles, artillery and support vehicles. You could choose to go with the Fighting First for example and if you also like the Germans, there is also the Afrika Korps set.
Afrika Korps - DaK Panzer Company // Flames Of War
In addition to the Americans and the Germans, you can also pick up two different Company sets for those playing as the British and the Italians. Again, these are solid options for those who might want to just dive in as a singular faction OR add to one of the Starter Sets.
Armoured Fist - Crusader Armoured Squadron // Flames Of War
Avanti - M14/41 Tank Company // Flames Of War
These are solid options for those wanting to play out the Mid-War battles of World War II. There are a lot of vehicles here and a smattering of artillery but I would have quite liked to see a bit more in the way of infantry. It's neat to have all these tanks but I like the idea of some more infantry-based skirmishes in desert cities.
Such rules for fighting out these kinds of conflicts can be found in the North Africa Mid-War Forces book which is also available right now.
North Africa Mid-War Forces // Flames Of War
This matches well with the new Starter Sets and Company sets and should be helpful if you're getting started or a returning veteran. You'll find rules for the Afrika Korps, 90th Light and Death From Above for the Germans. There are also British options for the Armoured Fist and Red Devils.
You can also continue the Death From Above goodness for the Italians and the Avanti forces plus the Fighting First and All American rules for the US. You'll find historical guides, painting help and much more in there too.
Are you going to be snapping these new releases up?

nice to see these, but admit, john makes a good point, not having infantry takes away from the boxes as they are essential to any army. if they could have included 1 platoon, i think it would have only removed 1 tank sprue and really made up for it. ADDITIONAL POINT, it would have let players see the value in having combined arms for attack and defence, as they can dig in, assault, etc, and that is a major part of Flames of War games. if i could rate this package, i would say, first ring outside the bulls eye… Read more »
Starter sets don’t contain Infantry, and now the Company boxes don’t contain Infantry. Would it be better if Battlefront just threw away the whole historical aspect and rename the whole “Flames of War” line as “World of Tanks – The Game”?
GF9/BF already do that with their World Of Tanks miniatures game. Where you too can pay $13 for one 15mm pre-assembled plastic tank.
Also infrantry boxes/set are not that numerous on their webstore.
I’d say that in FoW scale you’re not going to see the tiny differences between uniforms and weapons that might exist, so why make lots of boxes for something that few people are going to notice ?
Well they haven’t actually done the Italian Infantry yet (in plastic), but there’s no excuse with the British German and American box sets not containing even a platoon of infantry 🙁
great armour boxes for Africa battles.
Going to see the book or Forces-of-War lists first to see how best to combine my existing British Desert Rats with maybe the Tobruk starter set, and check out a combined Italian supported by German list given I have plenty of spare German models that could cover midwar. Agree that lack of infantry is an oversight given their usefulness in the latest rulesets.
