John gets ready the 'stick of doom' to show us the magic of efficient priming for Oil War.

Contained within is more priming information than you can shake a stick of tanks at! Having built all of the tanks, shilkas and massive hinds, John takes out his beating stick and puts some double sided tape on that to attach the Iraqi force to.
Have you heard of the legendary hexagonal stick of doom for even more efficient priming?

pink airbrush john…. piiiink 😉
Ivan just imagine The facial twitch As he reads that!
Found a great trick recently for temporarily bonding things, masking tape on both surfaces and superglue between them.
Looking great so far by the way.
That’s great! It makes them look like they are in the desert but without too much similarities.
John go to Warren and ask under health and safety for a cotton wardrobe. Prostrate or even bended knee will help. I got one and since then I do not go into the cold and wet. Closing up the wardrobe not only keeps the flies, airborne dice etc. away but has the added effect of containing and absorbing the lovely vapours, (great if you have to do something else in the day). Get a white one it will help.
better with a paper suit cheap an disposable just bin when ripped/finish.

And you can also pretend to be a crime scene investigator and scare your neighbours into thinking “there has been a murder!”
Lol that as well.
Why so serious a title shot? I get the Jedi reference, but dude TANKS…
I suppose it’s better that the mural-esk one of you in the painting mask ?
a great quick effective job john.
Very effective look you’ve got going there, couldn’t help pick up on the unintentional historic pun you made…”the Soviet Block!” in colour! 🙂
That is a great idea for quick priming. I use a cardboard box in a garage myself on account it still being well below freezing outside. Love the airbrushed colour over the primer. The effect is quite striking.
I had not heard of the heaxagonal stick until now. I have used flat cardboard and masking tape to do squads of men and for war machine a stick with nails in it to hold the magnetized bits.
Love the look of the tanks so far. Very interested to see how this progressess.
Looking good already
Stick of doom or Rotisserie Tank
I wonder if a rotisserie machine could be used as an automated (tank) priming machine …
Insert stick
add spray can
press play
done
Is there any reason it couldn’t work for infantry also?
I think that depends on the size of the stick and/or the speed of the rotating machine.
I wish I had the skills and tools to make it a reality, because it is such an awesome idea.
The colours you’re using for the Soviets is completely wrong. It needs to be way more pink to get to what they actually looked like in this alternate timeline. Here is an example of what they were going for when they first experimented on an IS-2. The colour around the time period you’re painting in this alternate timeline isn’t much different from that. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2Ke-XXBhwkg/VD1R8y9Mm4I/AAAAAAAADQE/vjYamqbXqfo/s1600/pink+tank.jpg
LOL pure gold that. But how do you distinguish from the SAS?
Actually @porkchop I think you’ll find it’s pure pink. 🙂
