It has returned! Warren and Dave are back for Season 2 of Flames of War For The Win! We kick things off with the guys looking at Recon Units in the game and how they can seriously screw up your day if you're not ready for them. However they do aid in creating that truly balanced army!
Yay, Dave is back! The dynamic duo returns!
Interviewing high profile players such as Mr. Wilcox is a very nice idea.
It will be interesting to see how differently Warren will build his list on this season now that he is a battle-hardened, tourney player. 😀
“Wild Bill’s” input was great in the “Know Your Enemy” segment. I am so glad to see Sherman “Easy Eights” finally get a mention, after all the rave talk of Fireflies in the first season. Yes, the Brits weren’t the only ones with killer Shermans, you know! Although admittedly, the Fireflies were first to my knowledge. Like many technical ideas of World War II, stubborn Americans didn’t clue in until certain concepts proved their worth in British / Commonwealth formations.
Great to see FOW FTW back!
Who puts this up on the same day as Spain v Netherlands???
Very cool
Finally my FoWFTW fix! After watching this I think I’ll need to look over my lists. How could I overlook recce units.
Great vid guys keep ’em comming. Nice table too. Can I ask where you got the trees?
Nice to see fow ftw back !
Nice!!
Been looking forward to the return of this and Dave!!!
Avid watching for me as we have an escalation league starting at our club soon.
Interesting concept, combined arms ftw! 🙂
Its back!!!! Its true!!!! Praying to the Dice God does effect BoW!!!
Not since The Empire Strikes Back has the second part of a series opened with such promise! Or maybe it’s just the snowy battle board whispering subliminal influence in my ear.
Needless to say, I’m very excited to see Flames of War: For the Win return to Beasts of War. Right out of the gate I was struck by the opening graphics, which were not only crisp, professional, and striking, but near enough to Flames of War to offer “brand recognition” while at the same time establishing a unique look for the show.
The winter board is, of course, epic. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it before, with the river “undercutting” the ice along the banks, a very nice touch.
I’ve been wanting to get into a decent ww2 game for a while. Been a coin toss between FoW and Bolt Action so far, so its always good to get a better look at either system.
Excellent vid guys.
Just starting flames of war. I have the rules and the Nuts book, just need the troops.
Keep up the good work, and more vids soon I hope.
Would Bolt Action work with FoW based troops ?
So good that this is back since I just got into FoW. 🙂
OMG!!! Hell yeah FOW FTW is back! Looking forward to another great season.
YUUUUUUUUSSSSSSS IT HAS RETURNED
Nice video. Glad to see one showing the rules for recon.
Great to see it (again) 🙂
Nice to have FoW FtW back.
Welcome back Dave. 🙂
I always enjoy watching BoW Flames of War For the Win – Warrens enthusiasm combined with Dave’s historical and tactical knowledge makes for a great show.
I think the ‘Revealing Ambush’ and ‘Disengage’ rules will be getting a good read through by a few players after this. 😉
Just as I’m wondering why FoW FTW hasn’t been posted in a while, this goes up. Great insight into FoW Recon! Dave, how would you suggest players effectively deal with Recon, or should we just ignore them and use the resources somewhere else?
Bolt action or flames of war… So tempting.
My favorite series returns.. Keep em coming.
Finally broke down and bough FoW starter set last week! FoW FTW was a big factor in this, though the game looked cool enough on it’s own. I really want to know more about different aspects of FoW, though, and Recce was one of the things I really wanted to learn. Awesome first vid (of the new season)!
