Check out the Youtube video above where John-Paul talks about the newest edition of Flames of War and just how you can get a hold of this iteration of the rules...
Also if your new to the world of Flames of War then check out their Boot Camp here which should give you a quick run down of the game and what you can expect.
Going to gear up for 3rd Edition?
How long ago did they go to second edition? I know it isn’t that old of a game. Did they just shift out of first fast to fix problems or are the editions short lived?
Looks like 2nd edition was released in 2006
I would be a tad miffed if I had just bought a rulebook!
Gah! Should have read Garb’s post before responding.
Do FoW replace your old rulebook if you just bought one?
Yup! You can either order one for free with a FoW order from stores like Wayland Games or The Warstore, or you can take your 2nd edition rulebook into an FLGS that has the 3rd minibook in stock, get a sticker in the 2nd ed book, and get the 3rd ed book for free.

They went to second edition about 6 years ago. All the source books published under second edition are still just as good as before.
I bought the ‘Open Fire’ starter box with the ‘old’ mini rulebook. Can I still get the free replacement or do i have to have purchased the full rules to qualify?
You don’t get a free mini-rulebook with your mini-rulebook only with the full size one. On the plus size you if you buy the full size one now then in 6 years with fourth edition you’ll probably get a free mini-rulebook.
before someone comments if you don’t have a local store, email them. i have and they’ve put me on the mailing list for a copy of the book, shipping out this week. they’ve been friendly and helpful all the way through sorting it out.
