Flames Of War Introduces More Volksstrum Units To WWII

As the war comes to Berlin the Germans become desperate and so call on the 'People's Army' or Volksstrum to defend the city streets against Soviet advances and more in Flames Of War. With that in mind Battlefront show off three new kits including a HMG Platoon, Mortar Platoon and Infantry Gun Platoon...

These units were generally poorly trained or not ready for war although some were more fortunate. Some of these units were manned by World War I veterans who knew how to organise these raw soldiers into some kind of fighting force.

The 3/115 Siemensstadt Battalion was one such unit which was manned by ex-soldiers and they fought their hardest to hold back the Allied aggressors. As you can see they got a fair amount of weapon options but whether or not they were good at using them was a different matter.
