Flame Of War Berlin Chronicles Germany’s WWII Fall
July 11, 2015 by brennon
The new book, Berlin, from Battlefront for Flame of War delves into the final conflicts of 1945 where the Soviet forces pushed into Berlin and took the capital from the German Army.
Not only will the book focus on the different conflicts that hit during that April/May period but talk you through all the units and characters that popped up too. Of course you can't fight these kind of conflicts out without models and Flames of War has most of it ready to go.
There will of course be plenty of history in there too so if you want to find out more about it from that perspective you also have a nice resource to draw from. I think that's one of the benefits of Historical wargaming; the fact that you learn something about history as your playing games.
Will you be finishing the war with Berlin?

Picked this up a couple of days ago. A different feel to most of the other books I have as the fighting gets down & dirty in the streets of Berlin. The Germans get increasingly desparate with some ramshackle forces.
Did I mention desparate? Desparate men throw caution to the wind…
Personally I don’t see this event in history as valid for entertainment.
Personally, I believe wargaming historical conflicts can be an excellent way to gain greater knowledge and understanding of them.
Of course, some people fail to respect the fact that the game is based on historical events, but most people playing historical games I’ve met are quite good about it.
Still, I can understand that some people don’t feel comfortable playing games about battles that actually happened.
On the plus side, you don’t have to feel bad about taking casualties- both sides were equally abhorrent.
What going to happen after this brilliant book. That’s more less the end of the war in Europe.
