It’s the XLBS Show! Happy Sunday CoG’s…… I’ve been working on my Indomitus Box and have placed an order for the Citadel Contrast Paints set. I couldn’t make up my mind so I bought them all in one go. This will be the very first time I’ve bought and worked with ANY GW paints. I hope the contrast paints are as good as they’ve been talked up! I have a lot of new 40k minis to paint up so wanted to give the ‘Miracle Paints’ a go. Against my original wishes it looks like I am recreating my Imperial Fists… Read more »
close. happy Sunday
I’m third, I guess that I’m not the only one who thinks sleep is overrated. Happy SUnday
Star Fleet / X-bomber was aired on ITV Saturday mornings in the UK during the 1980’s
It did look familiar.
I loved that show.
I still have an annual kicking around upstairs. from 1980-something(!) It was great when I was 10 or so.
Was that not (battle for the planet’s) or were they both on I only remember BftP.
Battle of the Planets was on BBC 1 around the end of the 1970s and is an English dubbing of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, the English version modified some of the characters (Sandy animation did) for airing in the US and Uk.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w7mPkEGBjc – History of the show (not Gatchaman)
Ah I loved that show.
Didn’t Brian May have something to do with it or did I just dream that ?
HAPPY SUNDAY!!!
So happy to be able to watch XLBS after such a looong crazy week at work.
Starfleet was brilliant. I think it was on ITV many moons ago
Yep, and I highly doubt whoever scheduled it was aware of how nuts/brutal it was. Pretty sure somewhere around here we’ve still got a Starfleet VHS that compiled the last few episodes (hint: it’s a Japanese science fiction space opera – so trippy is an understatement)…
Happy Sunday.
Time for another 1.5 hours of distraction from reality that is XLBS!
About to make a coffee as I started watching… Maybe it’ll just be an instant this morning for some reason…
I’m amazed that 4 people unravelled the obscure combination of vaguely related concepts from Warren’s brain being referred to as a code… Hopefully one day logic will return as a feature.
Starfleet is a stonecold CLASSSIC. Worth it just for the fact the dude with the spectacular afro? His name is BARRY HERCULES.
Also it has a puppet that smokes.
And i guess the plot & action is kinda fun as well (but admittedly very much of its time)
Why was Gerr waving his tentacles at us , at the end
And I’m pretty sure my hobby disaster for the week tops Lloyd’s – I had last week off with big plans for hobby, then Monday night the shelf that runs the length of my bedroom – including over my bed – collapsed, dropping the shelf on my noggin, as well as a load of rulebooks and the Sisters of Battle army I had primed up. Oh, and the other end of the shelf took out the Space Wolf & Deathwatch armies I had likewise primed, as well as a load of completed projects, and dumped a load of **** on… Read more »
Star fleet was ace. Got the dvd
@lloyd wet blending?…lifes too short for that crap
Star Fleet, music by Brian May of Queen if I remember correctly. I loved that show growing up, but I think I tried it agaon 5 years back and it wasn’t as good.
BTW what happened about that cow elf competition? I think it fell between the cracks.
Yep it was and here it is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7GFU5ncKhU
And we see Brian May audtioning for the role of Holly in Red Dwarf there.
If many small machines joining together to form one big machine is as effective a battle strategy as Japanese TV would have us believe, I wonder if anyone has successfully implimented it in real life, ie 5 tanks connecting to make a super tank rather an a real giant stompy robot? I’m assuming this doesn’t actually work and is just madness.
I was going to post exactly that about Brian May ?
Happy Sunday Coggs ?
That tanker is looking great Warren. Great work by Phil, well deserved golden button absolutely lovely bit of work
Cracked the Codebuster! But I’ll keep shtum.
STARFLEET! I watched that on Sky!
That dark age village is pretty cool. We’ve got something a bit like it here in Scotland https://www.duncarron.com/
Happy Sunday. 3D printing today, some haybales from the Townsfolk Collection from Mia Kay’s kickstarter, also getting some models ready for resin printing from Dragonlock’s Kickstarter Vallis Mortis – the Dragonshire Items set 1 & 2. About to print some books for bookcases. Have a good day folks.
Lol the XLBS
I had a bottle of gorilla blue that that when off quick.
Happy Sunday! So for the first time I entered the codebusters and entered the answer and was offered a tempting discount for Infinity N4…already backed the kickstarter and a few of the other “watered-down” products from Corvus Belli, but not sure I will ever play this game. Haven’t even read through my copies of N3…
@warzan can I not buy GW products from OTT? I was interested in the Lord of the Rings stuff for my grandsons who love the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Just trying to send some business your way…
Lol white cola cola?
Ha is Ben the new Justin?
Happy XLBS one and all
