It’s the XLBS Show! Happy Sunday CoGs. Also happy 34th wedding anniversary to my wife, my favorite CoG! ?
Congrats to you and your very understanding other half!
Nice! Congratulations to you both mate!
HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!
Happy Sunday!
Do NOT use Dettol it leaves paint very sticky, Bio strip 20 is good ,but Methylated spirit is cheaper ,readily available and works just as well…it smells ok too. Meths is not used up and can be reused so long as it does not evaporate.
I found Dettol to be ok as long you make sure you wash it off properly. I got through a whole bunch of very caked-on models a few months back
I love dettol it strips acrylics oils and enamels with equal ease and I’ve never had an issue painting any miniature afterwards, and as my jar will attest it’s infinitely reuseable
Happy Sunday… @warzan go and watch Firefly, best SciFi Show ever
Well, it’s good – not sure best Sci-Fi show ever but it’s good 😉
I kinda agree. Something needs to last more than 1 season to get into the ‘great category but it is very good
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday 😀 .
“Rimming the Brown” – Ben got it.
Sadly
I offer my full apologies to @brennon for going all SW nerd…I normally have far more control of it ( honest m’lud ),but somehow it got away from me in a moment of weakness from which i have fully recovered.I will give up my place in the cult in penance if need be…
It’s all good 😉 Believe it or not I do try and paint all of my aliens as appropriately as possible haha
@warzan Biostrip 20 is great stuff. Non-toxic (no need for gloves), effectively odorless, and it’s more of a goo than a liquid so you can dip a mini then sling it in a container to sit and the goo sticks to the mini. Depending on how thick the paint is I’ve had minis come up clean after less than 30 minutes sitting.
Only downside? It can be finnicky on resin (as in melts it completely if you aren’t careful), and if left too long (we’re talking weeks here) it can make plastics softer. Otherwise though it’s become my go-to painstripper.
Happy Sunday everyone
It’s not like sexing ants!
I need that on a t shirt.
Happy Sunday All. Great golden buttons but especially love the Orcs who have given me a major nostalgia buzz for Warhammer Fantasy, great to see ??
For sure – I’ve spent the last few days re-reading the Warhammer 8th Rulebook and Mordheim book
Happy sunday love battlestar Galactica but firefly is the best. Thanks for the button.
And to throw this into the discussion: Battlestar>Mandalorian>Firefly>Farscape, in that (ascending) order. I would though highly reccomend to anyone who enjoys their SF to have a bit more swagger to check out Dark Matter (gone too soon) and Killjoys – both made on the sorts of teeny-tiny budgets only SyFy can offer, yet very entertaining….
started watching Farscape recently, it’s like a remake of Buck Rodgers every time the intro comes up I can’t but help think of Gil
Pretty much. And manages to get even kinkier that Buck did (if you’ve not gotten to the end of Season 1 yet, lets just say there’s leather. Lots, and lots, of leather). Also gets completely bonkers as the seasons progress. Props to the SFX teams though – Farscape still has some of the most innovative and inventive makeup and alien design to hit screens small or big even 20 years later. And it never ceases to amaze me how Pilot & Rygel very quickly stop feeling like puppets and instead you buy into them as “real” characters with just as… Read more »
I did the same with Babylon 5 VHS and DVD, although I’m still waiting for an upgraphiced Blu Ray release. I can but dream
Ditto. Unfortunately JMS has stated that any HD update to B5 is in WB’s court. Sadly they are not willing to spend the money to upgrade the CGI. The show itself is fine as it was shot in wide screen anyway, but all the space combat scenes and the like would need completely redoing. It’s a shame as Babylon 5 is an important piece of modern fiction, not just science fiction.
yeah, there are a bunch of fan made CGI bits on youtube showing how they could upgrade it. I expect a shit reboot before a touch up job which is a shame
After hearing about Warzan’s Hitler fixation, I now fully support his use of Mein Cart…
Thought Ben said “me and my mate swapped corsets” 😮
that too
We do many interesting things here in the Midlands
An now the Looneytunes show.
Happy Sunday guys!
Oh gosh, finally! Finally I can watch the show on the Sunday morning. It’s a jolly good feeling. The gargant hype called my giant out from the box, so I am painting him at the moment. Made a lot of pics from the process, so I plan to make a project about it. 🙂 Happy days.
You do know that people could be panicking about how easy some people are solving you puzzles an they are woured their security at work is good enough @warzan
Happy Sunday all!
Your figures look great Ben love the fluorescent green one.
Great work Lloyd.
That’s Warren lunch ready?
A funny very adult joke about dettol.

The dungeon could be like the picture in Dr who with something missing in it @warzan
