Happy Sunday!!!
Solved …undortunately I don’t know where to put the solution. I really need to pay attention
It’s the XLBS show…..Happy Sunday to all my fellow CoG’s! I’ve so been looking forward to Gerry’s update on his U-47. I managed to contact the 3D artist that made the original digital model and purchased it for printing my own U-Boot 28mm sub. I do have it printed out and I’m attempting to use my “Beasts of War Studio/Game Room” to film my amateur attempts to follow along with Gerry as he builds his boat. I have picked a different insignia to put on my sub as I’ve had one in mind for some time. I’ve got some Revelle… Read more »
I did think about using plastic but I wasn’t sure about the rigidity of the rod at that size, I have it for drainpipes on 1:100 houses and it’s very wobbly. But it was nice to try my hand at soldering again.
Happy Sunday!
I think I am the first to solve it? Was not that hard …
oh yeah….HAPPY SUNDAY!
Happy Sunday to one and all.
I think ” everything old is new again ” is very true.It does appear to go in cycles in gaming and elsewhere in general life.
I get good results with Rigid Ink @dignity
” If Father Jack did fitness vlogs for the old ” sponsored by Guinness.
Those news letters are great. While mentioning Godfathers of the hobby we just really mention Jack Scruby who was the driving force of wargaming in the States
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday Cultists and thank you any new Cultists joining us today your all legends. I’m having to do the full isolation which is frustrating as all my colleagues are now frontline or in support roles in the NHS and will admit that hobby and gardening are really helping. I work within the Mental Health community anyhow so understand Distraction is a great coping method and our hobby really lends to this, plus the tutorials and articles on OTT added with those from members projects help keep the distraction fresh and exciting so thanks for that. The Operation Chariot project… Read more »
Anyone else surprised @warzan wasn’t in the bathroom?
Why would you expect him to be in the bathroom? Actually don’t answer that.
I wouldn’t expect him to be, just pleasantly surprised he wasn’t on some sort of throne!
You can find the answer to this and many other questions over at Discord
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday.
Any chance the team will be doing a vid or article on solo gaming whilst we are in isolation?
Or if there is already something along these lines, could it be resurfaced please?
I thought we had an article but there is no sign when I searched. We did discuss it in an XLBS a while back mind you.
If you come to the discord server we have a whole channel with Solo stuff on it to tide you over,
I’ll try to do a full article or something this week
Here you go
https://www.beastsofwar.com/featured/getting-into-solo-wargaming-part-one/
There is a three part artical on Solo War Gaming.

https://www.beastsofwar.com/featured/getting-into-solo-wargaming-part-three/
There’s some good info in there.
Also recently one of the bigger YouTubers posted some rules for Solo Gaming Star Wars: Legion.

Cheers Dennis, I posted the Crabbok link in the Forums when he released the vid.
+ @torros I’ll have a look at the those links tomorrow.
Was thinking it might make a good discussion topic for a Weekender.
If discord is going to become such a prominent feature of OTTer life, perhaps a permanent link to the server should be feature on the landing page, say next to the OTT logo.
I do worry that the site looks less used these days. Some of the discord traffic might have ended up in the Forums.
Can we all place orders @dignity? My birthday is in November so there is time!
Can you young folk all keep it quiet!? I can’t read what the man in the telly is saying… GET OFF MY LAWN!
Mornin’ everyone… hadn’t had my coffee yet… ON WITH THE SHOW….
happy sunday ?
the parrot still thinks he is a cuckoo after a week.
I hope he doesn’t do stretch exercises now ooo God o no f..ck.
good day from me and cuckoo from the stupid bird ? ?
Happy Sunday all!!
Still here, Warren.
Printing issues:
1. Warren ,next time you change your FEP film try with non-FEP film.
https://www.amazon.com/EPAX-Thickness-Printer-Wanhao-Photon/dp/B07N7TVWZJ
Does wanders to reduce sticking to the film…
2. Also, what Justin said. Increase the curing time for your first few layers by at least 5 times as much as the standard layer curing time.
3. Just print one mini. See how it comes out. Find the angle at which you get the best print with least surface drag (when the resin cures on the film and needs to be removed by the tray).
Take care… 😉
And Justin… 3D Prima Nordic. I always order from them. Filaments and resin… And they’are still shipping all over Europe…
Happy Sunday, and thanks for the physical fitness motivation … it will take me some time, but I think I can get to where he is.
I couldn’t stop laughing at the end, the Irish fitness instructor lol
Happy Sunday! Oh Jaysus those stretches look tough.
That fella at the end is the spit of one of the regulars down my local. Stay healthy, lads!
A couple of options for the FEP is to put a thin layer of resin on to the plate and sure it (maybe do it a couple of times and apply with a brush), the other this is to apply a little teflon dry lube to the FEP (I am sure other lubes will work). It is just about making the plate a more attractive thing to stick to than the FEP.
