I presume the same technique would work on resin buildings
Yep
That’s absolutely brilliant ( yet simple enough even for a painting pleb like me to have a go at ).
Hope it helps mate
So, who believes?
Me, i believe.
I’m clapping, I’m clapping.
Why do I feel like I’m missing something?
Same idea when using dry pigments for weathering on vehicles. Rubbing alcohol takes the place of water as it evaporates quickly and leaves the powder. Hairspray, aside from use as a mask for battle damage effects, might be an option for a workable fixative once done with the dry stuff.
Similar principles but no need to fix it as the acrylic binder does that for you as you go 😉
I shud grow up but Mel saying “as long as it wet you can play with” has me sniggering far too much… love ya bud
;-D
Awesome technique and i also think i will try using this for finer layering details on some minis as well.
Cheers Mel!
Nice! I will be giving my Rome a weather wash or 3…
A great video guy’s.
Will definitely by jumping on Mel’s kickstarter on Friday. Love the stuff he puts out on his channel – has taught me a lot.
Thank bud 😉
I’m under a self imposed ban on backing any more KS campaigns but a book by Mel?!?!?! How can I not? So excited about this one. Love the tutorial.
Says a lot, thank you mate
You’re the best, mate. I’m a professional figure painter and I ALWAYS learn something new from your channel.
This is just what I needed to know, having bought some mdf buildings. Thanks Mel.
😀
Such a simple technique, but then the hobby is full of them. With Mel putting his in to a book and sharing them with us, this hobby has just become a lot more interesting. Once i get my copy, it
ll sit with Dave
s close to hand.
