I’ve really been enjoying the Hobby Vlog on the 40k Apocoliptic table build. Well done! @lloyd really seems happy when terrain building! I myself have been getting everything lined out for the 40k Hobby Weekend. My package arrived from Coleraine Friday. I’m currently filming some stuff based on the condition that it arrived in. (it would seem that my package had quite the trip/Adventure) I haven’t opened it yet, as I plan to do that on camera as well. I’ve made the jump into AoS because of the upcoming Warcry game. In for a penny, in for a pound! Two… Read more »

Happy Sunday!!
Keep It Simple, Keep It Stupid! A truism at levels of higher Management! 😀
Can Confirm. “Secrets Of The Shining Knight” is a really cool episode of NOVA.
Happy Sunday guys,
I eventually get to K.I.S.S but normally go through the process of overcomplicating things first. Thankfully the project system helps me with this as I can test and adjust.
I think the Necrotic colour with the greens in it will work really well and will help to tie in with the basing materials if you go for a greener field and woodland theme.
Those Dwarves look fantastic and I am now off to look at Gerrys project for his FoW force 😀
Not much there but will have a couple of updates today
For the model railway, my Dad used to glue cereal boxes together. They then spent time underneath a few volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica to stop them warping. It actually was surprisingly robust a month or two later! Varying your thickness was easy as well. As I’m on trains… those buildings that came with the US look good as well, very kind to past those on! The Icewind Dale trilogy is the book I would love to paint up some suitable minis. A drow, Dwarf, Barbarian and Halfling walk into a bar… As I said on the project, those Dwarfs… Read more »
Gut un tag. Sunday.
Happy Sunday!
There’s sometimes use of an ‘extended KISS’, “Keep It Short, Straightforward ,Simple – Stupid” ; which is of course a contradiction in itself as the extra words don’t add anything.
Unfortunately HR political correctness has interfered in some places and I’ve seen work posters saying “Keep It Super Simple” so the last word can’t be interpreted as an insult… which of course it can if you’re asking for something super!
Don’t think I’ve seen Lloyd’s question answered elsewhere yet…
In FoW4 an aircraft team is still represented by a single aircraft on a stand (pg26 small rulebook)
I hadn’t gotten around to looking it up but that’s weird because they’ve gone back to selling them in multiples. Must dig out the big book and see if I can work out why
Happy Sunday CoG.
Keep it simple, keep it stupid!
This should be the new slogan for the Cult of Games!
I rem taking cereal boxes to school where out arts and craft afternoons were spent building massive battleships out of them
On knights and guns I think it was Agincourt where for the first time an English knight was reported as being killed by a handgonne
Empty toilet rolls as well. Every household in the 80s must have had a toilet roll desk tidy at some stage.
Loving the lute, not the bard, just the lute.
Don’t know why @buggeroff gets so upset at the word, I thought that when he hears lute music it transports him away to a cosy valley between to beautiful hills, where he feels safe and secure………..all be it with lots of hair and eight legs!!!!
Lol
The Warlord figures look nice . Not a huge fan of cast on flags
So is old school (whatever that means) seems to mean something that’s more than 3 months old or not designed by computer and cast in crappy plastic
Apparently
That was creepy just as you’re talking about doing your own minis about a book series I was thinking “Yeah Wheel of Time would be awesome since the TV show is coming soon” then you said it Gerry. Damn 5 day ahead mind reading man that’s way more creepy than some old lady smoking in bed then lying and said she just exploded. I think The Battle of Emond’s Field with Villagers, White Cloaks and Trollocs would make a nice start, dammit now I’m going to spend the rest of the night looking for minis, curse you XLBS curse you!!!… Read more »
I’m hoping that WoT does well enough for someone to decide to pick up the license for the miniatures.
It’s a series of books I’ve never read. I think I’m too old to start now
if you ever do you can skip book 6 completely and it makes no difference
I’m not even sure if I have the shelf space
I started a few months ago and they’re great books, very long which is fine by me and all read by Michael Kramer and Kate Redding which is just pure awesomeness.
There was a brief period of time when the term “hand cannon” was legitimate class of firearm. 😮
Firearms is a term typically distinguishing any hand held gun – from a hand-held cannon, through matchlocks, flintlocks etc to modern day automatic weapons; as opposed to cannons which tend to be mounted and typically larger guns.
Good morning…
30 seconds in the video…. sugar snorting…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrCPIrs90eg
it’s the sugar rush you need to stop you from flagging in the oppressive heat
“heat? what heat?” he asks while he wrings out his shirt and pants….
Take a moment, take a deep breath, hold it, let it out…break time is over now get back to work. Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday, great show thanks
Some Sunday science if you can cope with the terrible music (it is the reason I remembered this video existed) but this explains why the exothermic reactions of some superglues can be a bit worrisome – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWbcoCtT1oA As a social scientist, the explanation is convincing but a real scientist might tell me it is all wrong.
Happy Sunday all
HAPPY SUNDAY….
On cereal boxes: they work great but the boxes from dry cat food work even better.
“Going back to my project for a second now” @brennon, your patience is…. wow… XD I someone would talk over me that often that much I’d stay with the owl bear XD
Bananaman…. and I thought I’ve seen most of the weird cartoons XD
Das schwarze Auge. My first RPG from 30ish years ago… those minis are beautiful. @avernos, if you don’t want them… my mailbox is wide open 😉
Nobody jumped on that excelent music reference? SHAME!
https://youtu.be/djV11Xbc914
sometimes I feel I’m wasted on them, but then one of the editors said I fire out so many references they can’t use them all ^^
shame…. shaaaaame 😉
the building look like peco & kestrel N gauge railway buildings
happy sunday boys & girls
love what Ben does with his Burrows & Badgers every time you see improvement in the figures ?
do not sniff at everything in your mother’s kitchen ,we all know what happens with baking soda and supper glue
keep-simple-keep-stupid this is something to print on T-shirt
@justin Drew and I loved watching Knight Fight! Awesome show!
VERY very, nice Frostgrave from Ben, really sold me on the kits possibilities.
Got two of the boxes sat on the shelf – hadn’t considered mashing them… Maybe I need the third , the barbarians but I’ve just seen they have a second soldiers box!
… plus the wizards…
… plus the gnolls?
great work on your figures Ben.
Dwarf clangers?
a great fun show guys.
