happy sunday cogs!
Happy Sunday to the inner circle of the tabletop gaming cult!
Posting at 6am Warren? No rest for the wicked…..
Second baby … yeah
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday Brothers and Sisters of CoG!
Man have I had Star Wars: Legion on the brain this week.
3D Printing and layout designing for my own table to show off in Dec.
So much fun!
Happy Sunday!
Not much to go on in terms of running order so I’m anticipating a long, meandering, unstructured Warren ramble… we’ll see!
Dammit, rumbled again! 😉
Happy sunday… catch you later…. dice need to be thrown…
may the dice gods be with your opponents you filthy Imperialist 😉
Na, no luck… well, next time 😉
At least you had fun, right ? 🙂
I do like the standees. @avernos how crisp are the images. On my tablet they look a little fuzzy
The quality is excellent but they had a sheen and texture that made them tricky to show. I’ll pm you some photos.
Cheers
Hi guys, it’s come up saying I need a pass but I have one.
Could you please check, thanks
For what?
Did you manage to get access to the video @phoenixman ?
If not can you submit the problem here:

Sorry for an inconvenience.
All sorted, thanks
Great 🙂
The vulture droids were in since episode one! Gerry is wrong on that one I’m afraid. They would work perfect for Naboo even if you just put them in walking mode and left them on the side
Great Show guys.
@warzan why spend good money on Star Wars Terrain when you have a perfectly good 3D Printer and a handy Justin to work them. 🙂

Fo scaling I think we need to think big. Get a 40K Tank and wreck it then put it next to it. 3D Print a Rhino or a crashed Valkyrie nearby will really make it look huge.
Why not have a sack sack? My old man has a Kangaroo nutsack pouch why couldn’t a giant have a giant animal nutsack?
pouch?
@avernos mentioned that the Chimera chassis is the only amphibious tank in the 41st Millennium, and rightly pointed out how Astartes tanks tend to sink like the bricks they are. what he neglected to mention though, is that it’s in the fluff that the Land Raider (and possibly the Rhino as well) is built to be completely water-tight, so can actually drive along sea & riverbeds. Oh and if you want to see the AA-AT in action then now-Legends series Star Wars: Legacy features one during operations on Dac, the Mon-Cal & Quarren (fish & squid folk) homeworld (it also… Read more »
Vulture Droid appeared in Episode 1 during the space battle.

and you might want to search for Republic LAAT for them as well. Have a look at some of the Naboo Gameplay from battlefront 2
@warzan If you wanted to do a fantasy black powder army I think one from the Tudor period would look better in my opinion. The miniatures @firelock22 showed could be used for either side in the first few years of ECW up to 1645 ish
I’m actually thinking of using my PL based ECW figs in a Dragon Rampant game!
The ‘Commonwealth of Sayntz’ perhaps?? ?
I played Pikemans Lament a few weeks ago at Forfar Wargames Club. I really enjoyed it. The basing is a bit strange but works very well with the rules. It’s fast paced and quick to pick up.
I might magnetise my troops if I get around to collecting an army to give a bit of flexibility.
Agree completely on Pikeman’s Lament and the bases. Litko has wonderful industrial 20×20 flexible heavy magnets for your troops and you can order Litko flexible metal mats to line your movement trays. You can get some wonderful resin trays about any size from 1st Corp to accommodate most rulesets. I started with Hail Caesar for my ancients but so many nice historical rulesets which, of course, use different basing! Hope this helps…
I’ll have a look at those.
Thanks
@warzan, @avernos and Lloyd you need to watch the Clone Wars animated series as it answers some of the questions you have about events between Episode 2 and 3
I did when it was on cartoon network, some of Genndy’s finest work
You need to watch the Dave Filoni lead series 1-6 with series 7 coming to Disney+ along with Rebels
Is not part of the canon is classed as Legends
Please don’t make me slap the 40k off those landing craft, they are fine as is!
Those standees look good, a good alternative to minis and paper soldiers.
Also shouldn’t the HORs get a say in whether Justin and Warren swap? Maybe we are happy with our Warren.
you are a fickle bunch and it will only come down to price in the end 😉
Money makes the world go round, not gravity.
Happy Sunday CoGs!
( Sort of ) Happy Sunday all. After watching the World Cup Final of Chase the Egg,i’m looking for a lot of laughs this morning from you guys.
I like the off the giant in the gaming table… with all the Halloween stuff about you’ll probably also find “giant animals” too: we had rats, birds, and cats around the stores this year… Had you considered some kind of magical wounds for the giant? Something that big is bound to bothered by regular size weapons the way we are a wasp or bee sting: it’ll hurt, but it’ll take more than a few to kill you, and none will leave wound marks in bone… What about magical burn marks, or something to make it look like a mage has… Read more »
So maybe it’s the “collector” in me just wanting everything and never just being happy with what we’ve already got, but do we think given Legion has an original Saga era box, and now a clone wars, do you think we’ll get the most recent movie era as a set too? Would love some of the new vehicles, and I quite like Kylo, the new storm troopers have always seemed cool to me since seeing them in the first trailer for force awakens. Also Lloyd unsubtly stealing Gerry’s horses was brilliant, sadly one too far at the end rumbled his… Read more »
happy sunday cogs, very inspiring what you do with your children warzan. I think you’re a great father. I’m thinking about buying another tentacle beastie (hope I don’t lose another tentacle, but we know that there is always someone finding him again). hunting toys is great I do it myself (ignore the faces of the children and mothers who think what the ….). but it is not a shame if you have a 3D wizard Justin, he may be quiet but he loves the 3D printers. take a look at wofun board games i’m not a historian player but maybe… Read more »
Happy Sunday! The Arrr! hint will keep me up tonight. I am so hoping that your planing a pirate weekend (maybe Blood and Plunder) early in the new year. If so I am so getting a plane ticket, if you will have me.
