That means I win something right? Better not be a rip-off like something like internet prestige.
?
You win a No-Prize!! YAY!!!! 🙂
Well it’s not internet prestige at least…
?
Err @warzan , I think you’ll find that they didn’t have nukes back then, you’re thinking of the Ark of the Covenant and other such artifacts. ? Is it just me, or does Warren’s pronunciation of pyramid sound more like ‘piddamid’? “You keep distracting me guys” – tit for tat Warren, you’re distracting the show from the running order in the first place. ? “Historical accurate according to YouTube” – so how long is it going to be before we start seeing dinosaurs cropping up in Warren’s Biblical Wars game? ? After watching the opening segment, I gotta ask –… Read more »
I thought the tin foil lining wasn’t visible 😉 lol
happy Sunday guys
Purple/grey – you can see it in the artwork on my project
Err, I can’t; to me it looks a stoney brown grey; can’t see any purple on the skin and I don’t ever recall seeing it in any of the duregar artwork I’ve ever seen. :s
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Duergar
Oh No. Heavily armed Oompa Loompas
You win the envy of us all. Well done sir!
Happy Sunday Backstagers!
happy Sunday mate! 🙂
Happy Sunday!!!
happy Sunday @enginseer!
The Great pyramid is the 3rd largest pyramid in Egypt (behind the Pyramid of Senusret the 3rd and pyramid of Amenemhat). It is the biggest at Giza. There are many unfinished pyramids. Archeological rant over. Not nearly enough Saga talk. @avernos and @lloyd, I’m disappointed in both of you. @brennon, my advice would be to buy the Fyreslayers starters box and do them and the Warhammer Underworlds Fyre slayers at the same time. I’ve done this for 5 factions now and it’s just enough miniatures to make it a task but not enough to make it a chore. @warzan, when… Read more »
Great show guys. The Chinese destroyed the books because they were set in 1920’s China not because they were Cthulhu. 1920’s China is not a time period (Mao and Chiang Kai Shek were allies for a time) they want promoted. Let me debunk the whole “OMG THE ARK OF THE COVENANT AND THIS THING IN A PYRAMID WERE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE THAT PROVES X” that seems to be rampant on the internet. Not you @warzan your things are very harmless and pretty interesting but wow there are some weirdos out there who seem to think this is somehow proof… Read more »
Happy Sunday all.
It’s early, @warzan has melted my mind this morning, now what do i do ?
I’m sure you tube has some self help videos for this problem
Excellent idea @torros 🙂 .I’m away to trawl the font of knowledge that is YouTube….
Happy Sunday!
I guess a show about a hobby that often presents alternative realities can offer up a few “alternative facts” (tm K Conway)?
Happy Sunday!
Most of what you speak of on the mysteries in Egypt, are mentioned in ‘Secret History of Ancient Egypt’, a book written by James Herbert Brennan (Herbie Brennan). A Very interesting and amusing read, if not perhaps entirely believable, dependent upon the gullibility of the reader! ?
For the 15mm SAGA it might be worth underscaling the buildings down to 10mm to make the village areas contain slightly more buildings and look better on the tabletop
I second this. A lot of 6mm guys use 3mm buildings as well don’t they?
They do indeed.
the buildings are based on a foot print, so I’ll see what fits in it when we get around to doing it.I’m less worried about the amount of buildings as terrain pieces are limited by the scenarios. But if the 15s still look too large I’ll certainly consider dropping down.
The underscaling works because the terrain piece is a footprint
I know, but I also don’t want to have to buy new buildings when I already have a set of 15mm if it’s unnecessary.
Good point. I forgot that you might have had some 15mm buildings packed away somewhere
We’ve been using a 3D printer at work for a couple of years. One of the things we found is that the filaments can absorb moisture over time and this can ruin prints. To get around it we’ve put the printer and filaments in an old server cabinet which we keep heated to 40 degrees Celsius. We think this also helps with bed adhesion as no part of the bed is cold.
@warzan A couple of things of note: Ref the noses on Egyptian statues, my understanding was that the current theory was that they were chopped off by European academics because they would have clearly shown them to be based on African features that undercut certain cultural myths that were using the legends of the Pharaonic dynasties to fuel a narrative of empire-building (and funnily enough there is a huge number of pyramids in Sudan – many now submerged due to dams – that ties back to a time when what was defined as Egypt covered a mass stretch back up… Read more »
The Egyptian’s being Black Africans seems to be some kind of Radical Racial movement and has very little proof. Tests were done that disproved this therory From Wikipedia yeah I know but it’s in other places as well just not written as clearly. “In 2017 a genetic study was conducted on mummies from northern Egypt (buried near modern-day Cairo), which constituted “the first reliable data set obtained from ancient Egyptians using high-throughput DNA sequencing methods.” The study of 83 mummies, of which three were tested for sub Saharan African ancestry, showed that Ancient Egyptians had the greatest affinity for modern… Read more »
From memory the island of Bahrain is where the Sumerians belived paradise was and their spirits/souls went there when they died
Happy Sunday!
Great balls talk there 🙂
Mosaic Pallet 2 is an add on to turn some printers into multi material so that is an option if your printer is compatible

Happy Sunday, y’all!
Are the Japanese fireball balls pixelated?
every time 😉 lol
You could 24 hour live stream the 3D printing now… Twitch always on!
I was going to say that would be tedious but remembered when painting the other day I had on a Netflix video of a train going from Oslo to Bergen only had it on for the 3 of the 8 hours of the film
PMSL
I use that kind of video to help me sleep at night lol
Nah, just 16bit.
?
From the title: @warzan is on the bride! Happy Sunday guys!
I hope that’s a typo for ‘bridge’ – don’t think @wazan ‘s misses would be too happy with him being on the ‘bride’.
?
Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. 😀
Sound`s like fun to me, wonder if you can turn it into a party game 😉
@warzan the Israeli Defense Force have a part of their intelligence branch that specifically uses Autistic people because of their enhanced visual skills. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2016/01/israeli-army-autism/422850/ From the article Geraldine Dawson, the director of the Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development, says that beginning early in life, autistic children may compensate for lagging social development by developing stronger-than-average perceptual skills, excelling in visually- and systematically-oriented activities like puzzles or drawings. “People with autism often talk about thinking in pictures, rather than categorizing information according to language,” she explains. “They tend to think less in a holistic form, they’re integrating lots of… Read more »
that is fascinating @elessar2590 🙂
Hope to get to this soon, but not sure when, got some personal stuff to take care of with the family. Life not easy right now.
Very sorry to hear that @silverfox8 – Earnestly hope things smooth out for you soon. 🙂
Stay strong.
Happy sunday all
Happy Sunday! Very glad you have worked through your issues with 3D printing. I find it a key area in my hobby. And, yes to get a good print it takes my printer days to get the quality right. Very happy to see thing progress.
I own 2 Prusa’s that I run at home and I also volunteer at our local library to help teach children about 3d printing and I also run the Prusa at work that we use to prototype parts for manufacturing team. I love my Prusa. If you wanted to build your own, it is about 8 to 10hrs of work. I do not know if it is the best 3D printer but it is the most consistent and they have excellent customer support. Best part is that they are getting constant updates most you can print out yourself. 3D printing… Read more »
The 40 years in the desert trip during the exodus was clearly taken on the holodeck of some alien starship. There is a Next Generation episode that goes into all the technical details.I read
Erich von Dänicken when I was young. He had the entire thing figured out when Some Dude on Youtube was’nt even born. And it was in Books. In hardcover. If THAT doesn’t make it true, I don’t know what does.
And I agree it would make an awesome wargaming setting. Especially with Indian Vedic heroes and godly avatars thrown into the mix.
Happy Sunday! Ref. 3d printers: I happen to have owned the Anacubic i3 Mega and now own Prusa i3 mk3, so can compare both basing on experience. While Anacubic was decent first printer, Prusa really shows difference in both quality of machinery and what is even more important in post-sale support. I bought a kit and put in together in two evenings. With quality of the instructions they give, I don’t think it is actually more complicated than Ikea furniture and gives you intimate knowledge about ins and outs of the machine. I strongly encourage anyone to actually trying this… Read more »
I use Simplify3D to do 3D Printing. The software can print directly to a printer. The computer controlling the print, has a camera and TeamViewer. I can log in from anywhere see the print and hit the big red stop button if there is a problem.
Happy Sunday all!! Great to see the full crew back again. The Pyramids! Wow several years ago i was completely fascinated by this subject as there is SO much about them and other phenomena in the ancient Egyptian world that is only now being understood because of development in our own understanding of physics. I won’t go into massive detail here as it would take up way to much space and time for people to read so i will just say a couple of points. 1) The pyramids are/were power plant generating not only actual electricity but also generating a… Read more »
As everyone who jumped on board the NWOHM in the 80s knows – and Bon Jovi will attest – 7800 degrees fahrenheit (around 4315 degC) is the melting point of rock 😉
Griddlemiddle(?) melting at 3000 degrees is definitely not rock
