Woot woot weekender 🙂
WEEKEND! *drops dead to the floor*
The weekend starts now.
Looking forward to weekend of hobby. 🙂
It’s the Weekender and another three day weekend for me. Hobby is out of control here in Kansas!!! ?? Received my copy of ‘Billion Suns’ this week. Also I finally got my hands on a copy of ‘Infinity CODE ONE’. Dang’it @avernos ‘Bronze Age Miniatures’ is about to raid my War-Chest as I order every mini of the ‘John Carter of Mars Miniatures’….. I’ve been looking for minis for this since picking up the Modiphius John Carter of MARS RPG. I also do like a large number of the Warhammer Cursed City minis. I’ll be using some of those with… Read more »
nowt to do with me, I don’t make people spend cash, I just introduce them to miniatures of negotiable affection
@avernos I recently named you, in a conversation, as my Financial Advisor while telling someone why I would not be spending money on a new car. Gerry says, “there simply aren’t enough funds for a new car as there are more interesting and higher priority items that need to be purchased first”! ? The response was, “Who the Hell is this Gerry?” I replied, “He’s based in Ireland and has a substantial collection that many would covent if they saw it’s entire size. Some of his items are very rare indeed”. The reply was, “Oh, Ireland”. Remember, I’m in KANSAS… Read more »
ah delightful, I genuinely laughed when I saw that. You’ll enjoy Sunday’s show I think 😉
Looking forward to it!
I do like that Games Workshop just went completely mad with the design of the characters in Age Of Sigmar. You can’t fault them for not making unique and interesting (in many different ways) armies.
I agree @brennon the whimsical designs are refreshing!
It took me a long while to buy into AoS. But the water elves ‘Idoneth Deepkin’ were the first to drag me under. Soon after I was buying SOULSWARS the two player starter set with Stormcasts and Nighthaunts. But the Lumineth have caught my eye now. I’m sure I will be modding some of those head/helmet dressings. Some are great, some are ok, and some need a little trimming down! But overall a breath of fresh air from all the dieing, rotting, and grim looking tired stuff.
Happy Weekender All ?
Tempted by the savage frontier Kickstarter and impressed with what I’ve been reading in regard or billion suns but planning on dipping my toes into the Wars of Ozz with its appealing whimsy, giant munchkin eating jack o lanterns and flying apes. Hope your all staying safe and sound and get to enjoy some fair weather this weekend.
happy weekender to all
I used to play Silent Death by ICE many years ago and still have some ships, including a box of plastics they did called Wings of Death which are still on sprues.
It was fighter scale combat, but the ships would pass for larger ships in Billion Suns.
Silent Death is a lovely little game
Weekend it is then!
Nothing particularly grabbing my attention this week – not as though I don’t have a bit of a backlog anyway (one reason to be thankful for Infinity Defiance delays to UK)…
Games Workshop did a bang up job with Cursed City.
They sure did – I can see it being one of their most popular sets to date.
Red Dwarf the RPG… it’s in my collection along with the series source book.
Haha wow – I should have guessed it would exist.
Released 2003 I believe by Deep 7 using the same rules as the Mean Streets (Film Noir) game. Being a big fan of the TV series it was a must buy for me, but not played it and honestly not convinced it would work as an RPG. The Sourcebook covers series 1 to 8, but they are pretty much just episode summaries and would need major work on part of GM. The GM screen has Norman Lovatt as Holly in his familiar black background… which is perfect for the game… a more insane GM could cut holes for the eyes… Read more »
any eight legged horses Gerry.?
Nice showcase of Bronze Age Miniatures. Fenris Games in the UK stocks some of the range if the shipping charges from the US look off putting (https://fenrisgames.com/)
oh that’s interesting, last time I was on Fenris he was talking about shutting up shop entirely
the beast figures will be great for classic deastmen armys.
Resident Alien, is good an funny i think folks
Sir a what ? Lol
I did make a comment xD
and a project I noticed….
I had to 🙂 Do you like it so far?
Brack Mackster could be Dan Dare?
byob
bleach your own bones
FIRST! Oh not even close
Halo Fleet battles is perfect for Billion Sons! I would love to find a proper scale Battlestar Galactica but not enough ship types available.
A little disappointed not to hear news of Bens new 10mm Dwarven army getting printed. Handed to him on a plater and yet he still dithers….Is he really Dwarven leadership material ? Stay tuned next week for the answers….
I would love to say that I have an entirely new army on the way but alas I have faltered. A grudge may be written against me for this transgression.
Gook luck with the Archon He-Man KS. Is it still 2K copies only?
Another great Indy of the week.
I like that Savage Frontiers KS. Kinda speaking to me.
The New DnD Book is not a Ravenloft setting book it’s a reworking of the old Domains of Dread sourcebooks for 2021
Nice job guys, some lovely minis on the show today. I do wonder if you can get the High Elves back to the old aesthetic with a pair of snips and some choice component removal.
You could probably tweak them quite easily with a pair of clippers. Round off the helmets and turn them back into those more conical designs.
