It's the Grumpy Wargamers Convention this weekend and with that in mind Warren has sat down with some of the Youtubers from the event to have a chin wag about wargaming and probably everything in between. Let's see what Chuffy1976, Hazard Syndrome, Brian, Spud, Warren, and Andy get up too!

Get gaming!
IMO FoW and Bolt Action are great games because they were developed focusing on the game play.(So you can move outside the setting and keep the great game play.) Eg you play ‘the game ‘ not the ‘rules’.(Making playing the games a great experience !) IMO 40k is the opposite of this. The rules are written to sell the idea of an ‘undefined war’ where the ‘latest product release’ is awesome .And the game becomes about playing the ‘latest rules changes ‘(new codex) vs the ‘older rules'(old armies). And the game system sort of gets relegated to ‘rules debate’ with brief… Read more »
Good for you Andy – I hope plenty of people try out the IK RPG today. Like you I have written my own adventure for four players to run at Minicon next year.. just got to get some miniatures painted up in time. 7 months may not be long enough!
I hope you do an aftershow party that would be great
cool vid once again, but who won the Khador outriders?
So funny great show guys :o)
A few years back I saw Arcane Legions and I must say that the quality is super low. Its like a bag of one piece plastic soldiers. I avoid it with a ten foot pole.
Aftershow party will be wgotsot 🙂
Another Great show guys, nice to see everyone in one place. You got me really excited I can’t wait to see the Bolt Action video, I have been hoping you would do some vids on it.
I picked up the Bolt Action rules as I had heard so much good about it. I’ve not done a thing about having a game yet so I’m very much looking forward to a demo to get me going.
Hey Warren, for your Red Skull needs check out Herr Totenkopf over at What The?! Miniatures. I will double check the scale when I get home tomorrow, though, because I also have Lilith and the Twins and she towers over some of my ~28mm minis!
The figures were a bit dodgy but the game was excellent, different and fun. – Can I have the figs please 🙂
I think the war gaming community world wide should run a fitness program
GW have already started to combat this problem by introducing large price mark ups as a strategy to counter sedentary life styles…..they are going to save us all…..hooray!
No offence Mantic et al but this makes you evil pushers of reasonably priced plastics……oh the humanity……
I wasn’t in the Weekender this time for just such a reason. My added bulk would have achieved critical mass with the group and the many worlds of the Orion–Cygnus Arm would have been obliterated by the resulting super black hole.
Arcane Legions was discontinued, wasn’t it?
