Let’s Play: Warpath – Operation Heracles
August 16, 2017 by dignity
Today I'm joined by Rob from Mantic Games to play the new edition rules of Warpath, in this episode we're going to be playing the Enforcers vs the Forge Fathers.
I've got the beard, I'm the Forge Fathers, the angry Dwarves ready to belt across the table to capture Rob's side of the table for my precious metal.
What do you think of the new Warpath rules?

The video did it .. I just ordered the rulebook set and Enforcer army !!!
Tried Firefight recently. Good fun. Accuser Interceptor was ridiculously good!
Also, isn’t it Operation Heracles? Same thing, I guess…
Yep, you’re correct.
Muscle memory must have typed the common one I’m used to. It’s fixed now 🙂
I really like the way yal set up this battle report. The terrain and camera angles make it super easy to see everything and I liked how yal walked through the units at the beginning.
love it, my FF tanks, half tracks and VeerMyn tunnelers arrived today so I think I shall rewatch the bat rep as I build things.
So, historically the tactic for assaulting a position would be to lay down suppressive fire, but you can’t do that in this game, really?
like a huge swathe of games that are out there
Suppression and suppresive fire are a big part of both Warpath and Firefight. As @torros says, the blaze away action is all about suppressing targets.
Every unit has a Nerve rating. When fired on, they take suppression points for being hit and taking casualties/damage. When the suppression points equal or exceed the Nerve value, the unit is suppressed, with shooting and movement being affected. When the suppression is double the Nerve, the unit is grounded, meaning the only action it can take is to try to recover and rally. It’s like a simplified version of Chain of Command’s shock system.
There is suppressive fire in Warpath. And there is the ‘blaze away’ rule that keeps enemy’s heads down instead of doing damage
loving every single minute of the video 🙂 🙂 !
