The shelves look great guys and … Plastic WHAT?
Great work on the re-organisation chaps. Funnily enough, I was just looking at another site and they had their un-boxing of the new Reliant / Stormclad review up, nice to see PP finally begin to embrace the plastic 😀 .
plastic?… heavy metal all the way
I’d really like to watch this but the new player is very hit or miss on Chrome / OSX. More buffering occurs than playback.
By any chance, do you have earthquakes in NI? 😉
@theterraintutor thankfully no 🙂
@lloyd and @warzan get Romain on a weekender if he is over…
also Lloyd so if someone pulls the shelf slightly forward then loses grip what happens you shouls attach ther batons to the clips down the sides to create runners…
Or if you have a back heavy shelf it will tip backwards when pulling forward, be safe put the off cuts to good use as rails on top of the clips
Had a heart attack every time @lloyd banged a shelf
Honestly I flinched every time his finger hit a shelf, anyone that’s been in this hobby for a while knows the pain of a dropped model. That was like watching a horror movie with no kills.
I wasn’t so concerned about dropping shelves or spraying, but just normal, bog standard dust. Maybe your studio is cleaner than my room, but I think all the stuff on shelves will get pretty dusty pretty quickly.
Also, does the PP announcement mean real plastic? I know they were calling their resin plastic for a long time… If so, good for them!
PP didn’t do much in resin but they did call it that. They did a lot in soft plastic which they called plastic (because it is). They’d already switched to hard plastic for the larger models like the CoC battle engine which came out a few months back.
I’m no scientist, but I am vaguely aware that resins and plastics are different versions or compositions of similar materials, but by ‘plastic’ I mean hard plastic that you can glue together with polystyrene cement. And I think that’s probably pretty fair and common in the context of miniature gaming. Over the years there have been numerous times when I’ve seen PP kits advertised as being in plastic and then I’ve read further and found that they’ve been using a material I would call resin as it needs superglue to stick together. I presume that’s the stuff you’re calling soft… Read more »
I take it there will be no more boot camps any more ,which is a real shame .Totally understand the reasons given for why you wanted to scale back to 1 or 2 a year but looking at your new layout it would be very hard to do any due space restrictions
lol I would be more concerned about Warren pulling out a shelf. I take it he is band from doing so heheh.
Who makes that Airbrush booth? I’ve been trying to find a good one for quite a while now.
Looks like one that expo distribute, seen the same thing under many different brands though… https://www.expotools.com/acatalog/Portable-Spray-Booth-AB500.html Could make your own if you just buy the filter, get a suitable sized box and have a spare extractor fan for a shower kicking about, they are safe to use with acrylics as they are safe to use with water vapor (IP24 and above ratings), but if you use anything with flammable solvents which TBH for our hobby is pretty rare (tamiya thinned with isopropyl springs to mind, its more car paint and other cellulose based paints the dire warnings of explosions and… Read more »

Great update guys, the space looks like hobby heaven now. I think Lloyd should start pva’ing that beading on now and not wait for the accidents ;]
Looks great! Are there battle reports coming for 40k 7th edition? As a new 40k player (actually have not played, yet. Still building and painting.) I would love to see some new 40k reports and content. Is there a 40k week coming? Dark Eldar?
I could watch a VLOG of just going over whats on all those shelves. Its amazing anything gets done there with so much gaming goodies just laying around!
READY TO LICK THOSE STEAMING SPRUES!!!!!!! Yes, love delicious plastic! 😀
Glad you manage to organize all those minis, i hope i can do something like that with my collection. Cheers!
Glad to see some progress on the last week changes.
Why not magnetize the bases and the top of the shelves?
DARN! you guys have a lot of stuff! And I got an entire room full…
Lovin’ the close cam Lloyd! You had Justin pinned against the wall there. 😛
