Looking cool! I want to come to Nor’n Ireland for a wee visit, so I do!
fix its asap and invite PRODOS!
Yeah I think that’s what we’ll do 🙂
Do love that siege board, should open up the crack and put some red led’s in it to make it look like the ground is opening up with a hellish abyss!!
Rudddy hell Dave – was thinking the same thing when I watched that earlier! Would be very, very cool and I’m imagining a multi-leaf dining table now, pull out either end of the board and out comes the abyss from underneath.
Unfortunately my dining table doesn’t do that though…yet…
Now that sounds like a fun DIY project!
Woah the siege board is a blast even if a little bit broken but as @deaddave posted the crack in the structure can be used.
I am also impressed with how much stuff you have there hoarded 🙂
For the Vlog guys 🙂
All looks really good:-)
looking forward to getting to have a nose around next month:-)
Digital postcard idea sounds fun 🙂
22 different versions of happy Sunday!
Siege board is my favourite of those you have made. I remember it mainly because that is where you did the first demo of Infinity on the first Infinity week.
Having said that, not sure that seeing it being fixed is necessary, just get it fixed when you can and get filming on it!
For the love of VLOG is great!!
Hey guys, if BoW keeps expanding at this rate… you expanded out of Riverside studio by the end of this year.
Digital postcard idea sound fun and a really nice touch for people that are travelling etc (think you said you had someone coming from canda?) tables look awesome!
@warzan @dignity for the lead rot minis, soak em in Vinegar for a few min brush ’em off with a soft tooth brush dry ’em then prime them. Any of ’em that doesn’t fix is basically too far gone to save anyway.
and obviously, bin the vinegar, don’t put it on chips….
I know to get rid of mould on cloth you use white vinegar. But will it actually work on figures..?
And i’m sure I read somewhere that shellac is good for protecting lead miniatures from rotting but it’s to late to go looking to see if i’m remembering rightly.
IIRC any mild acid will work, since its just about dissolving the flakey stuff on the outside so the primer wont slough off when it flakes, its not actually mould it’s essentially lead rust. If the models have “white dust” try a rinse in cold water first, if it’s grey bubbly spongy areas, the model is basically too far gone, you might be able to re-sculpt or cover up if you scrape out the rot, but its a lot of work.
Aha. I knew about the “white dust” and “grey sponge” aspects but didn’t realise about vinegar being any use. Thanks for the info. 🙂
love the game boards you could use 2 by 1 inch straps to strengthen them for a quick fix to strengthen all the game boards.
Great vlog too guys, you just insist on making me more and more excited for March though don’t you, you rascals… 😉
As for the tables, my tuppence for what it’s worth: if you’re thinking of longevity and regular movement in and out of storage and worried about the dreaded corner damage that comes with it maybe something as simple as those plastic triangular caps you get with picture frames would do the trick. Clear plastic would mean you don’t even need to really take them off. Just a thought.
The siege board is by far the nicest board you guys have, i really like it, it deserves t be fixed. What’s behind the other 2 doors, it’s probably just tiny offices but i want to know Dammit!
It’s looking impressive. One of the largest wargames-based premises outside Nottingham these days …
Love the new fish bowl studio. I’m even more jealous of the amount of hobby room you guys have now. lol
Seige board looks very, very nice but I was never a fan of static tables that only have one layout. And you didn’t show us what damage was done to the winter board.
Heh my home office / painting dungeon is starting to look a lot like that, particularly with my recent MDF / HDF terrain addiction as I’m struggling to find places to keep it all! As for the Warzone table, my first thought is Imperial (trench side) vs Bauhaus (fortification side) but if you gothic up the fortifications a little, it could absolutely work as an Anyone vs Dark Legion table, where the humans are either enforcing a perimeter around a citadel to keep Algeroth’s hordes contained.. or perhaps this is the culmination of months of progress to get close enough… Read more »
Love these mid-week vlogs! Always fun to hear what you guys are doing. Looks like you’re all having a blast. If only I wasn’t on the other side of the ocean, I’d pay a visit once in a while.
Cracking vlog gents, don’t go killing yourselves lol. Have to say, I’m really envious of your terrain collection. On the boards, you can paint the edges of mdf boards with watered down filler. The filler soaks into the mdf and firms it up which really helps with corner blunting. Also, a couple of coats of a decent paint can seal mdf against a reasonable amount of moisture (short term), if the moisture’s that excessive that it gets through the paint to effect the mdf, it’ll probably effect the ply unless you’re getting moisture resistant ply or sealing it. Either way,… Read more »
I realize that these table designs should be a trade secret, but is there any chance we could see them, maybe build-our-own-at-home?
The Wednesday for the love of vlog is quickly becoming my favorite show. As a small business owner who is fighting everyday to expand and grow, it is nice to see how you guys are changing and improving your product. This is probably the most positive program on the nets and it shows what hard work and a belief can overcome any obstacles.
I do have a question about guerrilla marketing. Are you getting paid to product place that big charity poster? If not you should write off the space as in kind service. 🙂
Dinosaurs!
wait a minute..won’t the MDF get wet if you use a “water jet” to cut the material? Won’t that ruin the MDF? If this is the case why is MDF even an option? Just a thought, I do not know how a water jet works. At any rate, I would vote for the more durable tables. If you intend to keep on doing boot camps and other types of events where you will need them that is. You know someone will spill their beer on them at some point. and YES, please make the “repairing the trenches” video. There are… Read more »
I think it’s properties for absorbing moisture are over a longer period than the use if a water jet 🙂
If you’re interested in looking at the evolution of sculpting, why not try and get an interview with Tom Meier?
What was the company that did that paint stand? I think that is exceptional and want one.

Thanks RedBen!!
wish you guys were still around London… Ireland is far away ^^
