So when do we get realistic fighting sounds added?
You mean going Pew Pew in a high pitched voice isn’t realistic?
Pew pew should be for those special characters. Auto sound I think should be for the rank and file
we can have them now, Blinky was telling me it’s exactly the same
When you hear how amazing model railway engines have gotten over the last few years, I am not surprised…
not *exactly* the same – for audio I’m using tiny lipo batteries (since reading an sd card takes a few 100mA in short bursts and would flatten the tiny watch batteries in no time). So it means that the bases are quite a bit chunkier; the electronics are still tiny and small – but the means to power them gets a bit bigger.
All that said, I might just stick a CR2032 onto one of my homebrew audio modules and see how long it lasts….
Awesome stuff! They look great! Love that Necron!
No video? oO Just an error message…
You need to be an extra xlbs patron to watch this one @sundancer
on top of the usual backstager xlbs? oO
I think its invite only
this is a real turn off… every other vlog is watchable and this not and nothing about it is mentioned in the text?
This is bad :S
None of the backstage videos work anymore? oO Even those I watched this morning… either Firefox has shit itself again or vimeo is going bananas
Same for me, and I wanted to watch this while I’m eating my tea. Guess they have 5 minutes to fix this for me then or I’m eating in silence.
I believe that Vimeo went down for a little bit. They should all work now @sundancer @lawnor @torros
jupp. Found that yesterday and put it in tech-support in the forums but thanks for the heads up 🙂
Cheers. It came up shortly after I had finished my dinner.
It’s amazing how small these electronic kits have become.
awesome.
Two momma mias!. First, isn’t Gerry like 6ft5? Which means Blinky is around the same height. Secondly, that stuff is amazing!
It’s been a long time since I’ve had to look up to talk to someone. It was nice to spend some time with a normal-sized guy for a while 😉
Blinky is a Genius……me thinks bolt action /Space marines will benefit from him and the how too tutorial.
Go @blinky I look forward to seeing how you did those.
flash backs of fighting Skynet/Legion with the red eyes in the darkness.
WOW very very very nice man.
Can confirm, he’s lovely!
is Gerry in some kind of fight club? obviously we’ll never find out.
Awesome gifts to give. The use of LEDs was definitely well applied there. I do hope to see more.
Oh wow, they’re so cool. I don’t think I’ll ever have the patience to do a whole force but it’s great for some special characters and stuff. I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s done.
