Ben and Gerry sit down to talk about the untold stories of Games Workshop from the 1980s and the glory days of the company with veterans of the industry, John Stallard and Robin Dews. This is all because of a new book, Talking Miniatures, from Shaggy Dog Publishing which is available to pre-order right now!

Find Out More About Talking Miniatures
In this interview, we talk with John Stallard and Robin Dews about why they thought now was the right time to write this book, the method by which these stories are told and what untold stories you're going to be able to dive into as you read through the various "chat down the pub" style interviews presented across two volumes.
Robin and John have talked to Warhammer and Games Workshop luminaries like Rick Priestley and the Perry Twins, Tony Ackland and Trish Carden as well as those behind the scenes who kept everything going.
For those of a certain vintage, this is nostalgia made manifest. For newcomers to wargaming, this is a look back at what many consider to be the golden age of Games Workshop and the worlds of Warhammer.

should be able to see it now, I think that Gerry fella was great
What a great interview, and we learn of the origins of Gerry’s passion for battle reports.
I ordered mine the same day they went up for preorder.
Great interview. I pre-ordered and was lucky enough to get one of the fully signed ones. I was very excited about getting it before and now I’m even more excited about it.
Wow, what an amazing interview. @avernos you are certainly ticking off the must have interviews now. Gary Gygax, tick, John Stallard tick, Robin Dews tick. If only Sir Ian hadn’t called in sick to bugger off and watch the football???
it’s good to be me
Fond memories of saving up to jump on the tube to go to Dalling Road Hammersmith. I still have some of the battle floor plans I bought back then, and the minis (together with the mutating lead cancer that is slowly destroying my paint jobs).
