Listening to that velvet smooth voice on the unboxing makes me think of the Greatest MOvie ever Made.
What’s in the box!?
more soldiers with guns 😉
My first impression where that the main difference between these 3 sets is the weapons and heads.
I am going to have fun building/painting these!
I think the mercs are my favourite, followed by the crew. The Troopers feel a little boring, but I suspect in the right hands they could paint up amazingly, as a referencfe to some 70s scifi show or other, or perhaps with some sort of wild punk scheme.
troopers could function as Imperial Guard 😉
I think the most ‘boring’ part is the simple fact that they’re all standing on two legs.
A prone or kneeling body type would have given just a tiny bit of extra in these sets.
Fantastic set of kits, as ever. Looks like you could easily use bits from Bolt Action infantry sprues as well for even more flexibility. Definitely going to pick up some of these.
These are great kits. So many kitbashing possibilities! I do like the mercenaries box the best with all of its versatility. Great unboxing!
If I buy, it will probably will be the Mercs. I am planning on doing a pulp spin on the game… use some Crooked Dice minis. They have some fun robots/fembots and cylons too.
Nice sets. I’m wondering if you could combine them with the snake men figures?
That’s the beauty of North Star kits (and some of the other plastic kit manufacturers like Fireforge, etc.) they’re all designed to be interchangeable to a great degree. I’ve got some Ghost Archipelago Snakemen bits on a bunch of Frostgrave Cultists to make some Chaos Cultists, etc.
Now I’m looking to take those same cultists into space and mix them with these new Stargrave minis.
awesome, thanks for showing us whats in each box. Now my mind is thinking of what to make
As usual, great unboxing. So many options in those sets, so much other potential with mixing with other Northstar plastics (both Frostgrave and Oathmark). I wonder if they would combine well with the plastic Gunfighter kits coming out from Great Escape Games?
I shall know once my cowboys arrive 😉
Excellent, look forward to hearing about it!
A great looking set of figures for games with plenty of variety of parts to make the squad the players after.
Yes! Space mind flayers and badgers!
All 3 are great but I think mercenaries is the best
I need to pick some of these up at some point.
The mercenaries mixed with some frostgrave cultists and I could have a crew of reavers from firefly.
Kitbashing goodness.
Really enjoyed Stargrave week. Thanks guys.
Ohh god even more plastic Crack I want to throw my money at
Love the way they go together, hope to get some plastic flame throwers in a future box though
Yep. These are immidiately going on the shopping list (well, as soon as I know I didn’t win any). And then to perhaps scrounge up some more options for alien heads from a galaxy far far away…
I really like how all the North Star kits can be combined to make unique characters.
I really love the idea of mixing and matching certain parts with other Northstar minis. It really opens up the possibilities for the crew even more than what is already included on the original sprue (which is a ton)!
Nice sets.
Great variety.
Think I still will 3d print some more options and mix that in as well.
tempted! Merc box looks good. Trying to make use of all the various models I have already though!
The Crew! I need the Crew!!!
I need a chiseler with a monkey wrench!!!
