Great stuff and I agree (because I have the models). I would like to bring up the elephant that is ‘not’ in the room – TSB:Egypt. I saw the book in one of the clips. Will this book be discussed this week?
The Egypt book does look fun.
Well I should say the idea looks fun….as we have only seen a cover.
It has to be fun, it just has to be! 🙂
have you seen the answer to your question yet? 😉
Yep – there is a full interview with Joe coming up all about Egypt 🙂
Thanks @brennon !
spoilsport
who? never heard of it
Do not confuse skellibobs with scary crows!
As much as I really like the new Russian set, I like the Austrians a lil better, which they would yield a better range of colors to a force. Another great review of the figures. Take care.
The minis are great. Need to get a couple more sets so I can demo the game at my local club.
I would love to play this game as if it’s a Hammer Horror. That would mean getting a big yellow carriage, some innocent victims (for the Hammer glamour) with the occasional mad monk to wrap up the plot. Oh, and of course a Patrick Troughton miniature for the compulsory character actor appearance.
don’t forget you can get Peter Cushing from WI
Yep, as Van Helsing. I already have him as Dr Frankenstein.
Just need someone to do a Christopher Lee miniature as well.
What????? I need a Peter Cushing mini in my life! A little Gustav Vile running around “we will cleanse and purify these women…..BY BURNING THEM!”
Bam?
Really nice models and lovely casts. I like that they are embracing the fantasy side and allowing us to have female uniformed minis in the range. Looks like they’d fit nicely with some Bad Squiddo minis I have put aside for Silver Bayonet. Annie also just announced the date for her new Ghoul KS that would work very nicely for this.
very nice models
Ooh fab detailed looking figures for the game table’s.
Are these the mini’s you use in the game? They looked good on game.
Sweet, have both of the original sets, great additions. more minis and books to get yah!!!
I do like the uniformed women that have appeared in the recent sets. It would be great if Northstar did some dual foot/mounted packs for the cavalry though (although I don’t think I’ve seen anyone bother with the mounted cavalry models during games…).
yeah cavalry would be a big help, we didn’t bother because you can’t use them for the last two scenarios of the campaign, but having horses for the cav figures would be a massive help in other games
Egypt does sound good I’m assuming we will get new warbands for the Mamelukes which is a nice alternative to all these Europeans and for Canada the Americans for the war of 1812.
The minis look cool. I’ll have to dive into this game more.
Austrians and not a shade of white between them. What’s not to like?
The newer soldier types in the Austrian box made them especially interesting to me. I padded the force out with some Austrian minis from elsewhere, because the Carpathians introduced characters might find their way into my other forces just for a mission here or there for the fun of it.
So close. Should have been Australians…… Just saying is all.
I like the idea of French archeaolgists openning a tomb and finding something evil.
Love the coachman and his blunderbuss. Soon we’ll have enough non-military units for a “civilian themed” squad… That could be fun too.
some lovely metal minis
Comment to win. again.
need to get these figure as I just ordered the rule book just a while back
Ah the Russians
Wonder when we will see a second Spanish set.
The Austrian highwayman and coachman fit very nice into the setting, could also be used to proxy similar models for other factions, and finally we get an Austrian doctor ^^
I agree with you Gerry. The Austrian set was the one I got because it civered the better options in the new book Excellent models.
