Join Us For OnTableTop’s The Silver Bayonet Themed Week!
December 13, 2021 by brennon
We are kicking off our Osprey Games The Silver Bayonet Week! We're going to be diving into the game, showing you how it plays and learning more from the creator himself, Joseph A. McCullough.
This is a fantastic game of Napoleonic horror. If you've ever been tempted to pit Sharpe against a werewolf or play out some ghostly and ghoulish hauntings on the battlefields of Europe then this is your chance.
What Is The Silver Bayonet?
The Silver Bayonet is a new standalone game from Joseph A. McCullough that puts you in the boots of monsters hunters during the Napoleonic period.
Check Out The Silver Bayonet Review Here
The game can be played solo, cooperatively or competitively with players taking control of their hunters and exploring a horror-filled Europe. Make sure to check out the review above for more information and catch up on how to play and more next week.
What Is Coming Up?
Throughout the week you'll have a bunch of videos to check out...
- Monday 13th December - How To Play: The Silver Bayonet
- Tuesday 14th December - Designer Interview With Joseph McCullough
- Wednesday 15th December - Unboxing: The Silver Bayonet Units
- Thursday 16th December - Unboxing: The Silver Bayonet Monsters
- Saturday 18th December - Let's Play: The Silver Bayonet
This should give you a great idea of how the game plays and what models you can pick up from North Star Military Figures to use when making your own unit of monster hunters. Gerry and Justin will be clashing on the tabletop once more. Who do you think will come out on top?
What Could You Win?
We're also giving away some prizes! You could win one of the Unit sets from North Star Military Figures for the British, French or the Spanish PLUS Rulebooks to get you started in the game.
This gives you two chances to win a great The Silver Bayonet bundle OR three chances if you're a Cult Of Games member! All you have to do is comment on the posts on OnTableTop or the videos on YouTube for a chance to get your hands on one of these sets.
So, keep an eye out for The Silver Bayonet week videos and make sure to get involved. This is an awesome game and it might be just what you needed in your collection if you're a Historical wargamer, a Fantasy wargamer or perhaps both!
Will you be joining us for The Silver Bayonet Week?

Really looking forward to this. The Silver Bayonet is the only Joseph A. McCullough game I don’t own. I know how hard Gerry has been working on this. Saturdays Let’s Play should be a good one.
Oh yes this is very relevant to my interests. Looking forward to seeing what is coming in the future waves.
I imagine Gerry will be Sharpe on this one and wont Harper on about it , no doubt he will Har ris Justin and make sure he sees the Hagman rather than leaving him Simmerson .
I’ll get my coat but it will be Rifle Green!
Very good sir
Lots to look forward to here – the interview with Joe, a couple of Let’s Plays, plus a preview of the Northstar monsters a couple of months before release.
Looking forward to it!
Did have this in my online basket at one point, but removed as I have Frostgrave, Stargrave and few other Osprey wargame books I haven’t had chance to play yet.
Guess I’ll be commenting only on youtube… no sane person would want the french or spanish…
I must be mad then ? ¡A mi me gustan Los epsañoles! ??
El loco hombre
I’m looking forward to this I enjoy a good themed week.
This should be great. I am off all week so will be looking out for the instalments. The rules went on my Christmas list.
I am really keen to get ideas for monster shopping/
I picked up the book a little over a week ago but have as yet not got the models to play a game. So I am excited to see the coverage. Also if anyone has any ideas for perhaps picking up single models. I was hoping we might get a multi part plastic kit in the near future as well.
Very interested to learn about Silver Bayonet. I already have Napoleonic skirmish forces and so adding a few gribblies would be an easy entry. Also wondering if it’s possible to push the time frame back to the 17th century and go full Witch Finder General ?
from the layout of the rules and a brief chat with Joe there shouldn’t be any problem in running this right up to the ACW if you want and all the way back to early black powder
Great to know ?. Looking forward to the week’s coverage!
I’m really looking forward to this week!
Looking forward to this, and I hope Gerry’s managed to make up for the lack of sleep from painting all this
looks like a great game, thanks for the vids
Should be a good week 🙂
Have been looking forward to this!
Ooh the figures look brilliant an well detailed.
So effing excited for this!
Happy monster hunting week!!!
I haven’t looked into this too much so this will help, thanks guys.
Looking forward to hearing more from Joe about the game and where he plans on taking it. The War of 1812 and Egypt would be some pretty obvious next ports of call…
Looking forward to your content. I have the book but have not had chance to play yet. Keep up the great work.
Looking forward to tuning in every day this week, as with all of Joe’s games I’ll start off by pretending that I can justify buying the rulebook to make use of minis I already own, and then the artwork will probably convince me to buy the official miniatures…
OK, got my rulebook, got my British unit painted. So this should get me set up and ready to play. Just need to find some time and willing opponents now…
Of course such think would happen just the week after I buy into Frostgrave….
